[The message starts out normally enough. Just another strange question from Spring.]

Does anyone else hear the music about the fighting, or is it just me? Also, I think yellow is a youthful color, but it is not youthful and manly like green!

[There's a pause in the writing, and when it continues again it's written in a slower, more deliberate ( Read more... )

journal post, c'mon guys be honest here, bell get out of his head, it's mini-gai!, the tree is a big meanie!, ic, awkward question time, why spring is a virgin, mind breaking revelations

What did you see, Spring?

I did not see anything.

You are hearing music. The being in yellow could be what is happening to others, except now you are asking new questions about death.

That is all true, but I tell you I did not see anything. And I have just become curious, Father. Please, do not worry. It is probably nothing.

I think it depends on how you die. Like, was it poison, was it a blow to the head, did you break your neck, did you bleed out, did you fade from existence? Some would be way painful, like getting stabbed.

Oh, I suppose that is important to take into account.

What if someone died while they were sleeping? Or [pentaps] during a medical operation?

darcyredux August 23 2011, 03:31:17 UTC
If they were sleeping or anesthetized, then no, I don't think it would hurt. You would just be dead.

Just dead. That is...

That is not how I would prefer to die, I think. It is like you would have no chance to fight back for your life.

Maybe. Or maybe that's only the lead up to dying, and when it actually sets in you feel nothing. Kind of like life--it hurts, and then is over.

[Heavy subject for you, chibi. He's worried just what you saw.]

Something of mine? Sure. I'll be back to the house in a minute. [Something you have to give back to him personally? Bell is not sure if he should look forward to this, or dread it.]

That is [pentaps] really sad to think about. And I do not like to think that life only hurts and then it is over. Life is beautiful!

[If Bell were to ask after just that, he'd get the same answer Spring gave Gai: he didn't see anything.]

Yes. Please knock on the door to my room when you arrive and have time to spare. [He will not elaborate over the journals, so have fun sweating it out for a few minutes more, Bell.]

grab_my_bells August 23 2011, 03:42:16 UTC
But doesn't it also hurt to know that something beautiful is only going to die someday?

[He knows. He saw the reply to Gai, and doesn't expect more since he's not Spring's 'dad'.]

Uh. Ok... [There's a part of him that wonders if somehow, despite everything shown in his own memory, if Spring saw Bell's death and wants to ask about it. He can't even begin to guess what it is the kid has that is Bell's that he isn't willing to just hand over in the livingroom.]

[Quicklog?]

[Bell shows up at Spring's door and knocks politely. He doesn't need the kid mad at him for barging him. Tenzou waits anxiously beside him, as if he suspects this time will somehow be different and he can go in the bedroom!]

Spring?

That can hurt, but considering that should only make each moment all the more beautiful and precious, in my opinion.

Thank you.

[Quicklog~]

[Spring answers almost immediately after the knock, as if he were waiting anxiously right behind the door the whole time. He only opens the door a crack at first, not only to keep Tenzou out but to check for certain that Youth isn't standing right behind Bell out of curiosity. Seeing that Bell was alone, Spring opens the door a bit wider, still wary of allowing the big dog inside.]

Bell-san, please come in.

The others are right. It would depend on how you die. In your sleep would be the least painful. Some people describe near-death situations as almost pleasant: warmth and a bright light. I wouldn't know, though.

It is very interesting to think about, if a bit morbid. Everyone will die someday, so it should not be hard to talk about, and yet sometimes it is.

Warmth and bright light does not sound bad at all! [pentaps] I wonder if the afterlife is the same for every world.

I think it's something everyone thinks about at least once in their lives. Otherwise churches and things wouldn't exist anymore. [A pause.] Though I haven't seen any here, even though death is so common.

It might be. Or everyone from every world goes to the same afterlife. Or there's none at all.

Death is common, but coming back from death is also quite common. Maybe this is why there does not seem to be any religious iconography anywhere.

Some people have come here rather than the afterlife too, it seems. Perhaps there is none, but that just makes me want to work harder in this life!

It is strange, but the song is fun and bouncy!

Thank you, Little Sister. Perhaps I should visit you to show you my new outfit!

The song plays over and over, so it is a bit annoying, but it is still a fun song.

Cookies! The rainbows from the event seem to have inspired you!
