I know exactly why I end up frustrated now during the lessons where I am having the kids work on their own and why I always seems to be dealing with a circus--I never make it clear that they need to be seated by consistently yelling at the ones who keep screwing up because my head keeps spinning with the latest fire I need to put out. I love my 6th period class best--I can get away with the nerdiest jokes like with this one kid who spells his name "Daimien." Who the hell puts an 'i' in the middle of 'Damien?' My brain did this kinda word-play and I realized that the spelling of his name also makes "Dai" and "Mien." Which, in Cantonese, "Dai" means "big" and "Mien" could be ( Read more... ) -
