But they weren't meant to be together then; so he waited again, patiently.

*

He saw someone in front of him, crying all his heart out. He wanted to touch the face, but he couldn’t. A pain was felt in his chest, and his shirt was wet. Some crimson smell were filling his nostril.

“I wonder...if there’ll be one time, one century in the future, a time where we will be hugging each other much longer than before.”

-

“The Japanese senshi* are all around the country now. It has been nine years since we tried to chase them out, but there’s no success. Don’t you think this will be the right time to accept them to rule our country?” a slap strucked the younger boy’s cheek. It stung.

“Don’t you ever think about it! Those Japanese are our enemies for god’s sakes! Hyung would never let you go if he heard you talking about it!!” Jonghyun was still shivering from his anger. Their little brother, Taemin was dripping his tears, hurt and scared by the sudden punishment.

“Stop it you two. Or I’ll kick both of you out from this house tonight.” Kyuhyun hung his hat to a special hook behind the door, and shoved a medium sized package to his brothers. Impatiently, both the kids unwrapped it, and almost cried out when they saw a loaf of bread in front of them.

“Hyung...it’s shining...” Taemin told Jonghyun as he hugged the older boy. Forgetting about his anger before, Jonghyun hugged him back, and both of them were giggling.

Kyuhyun only watched both his dongsaengs munching the bread happily. He silently agreed to what Taemin had suggested just now; to give in to the Japanese after all these years fighting their intervention.

-

The year was 1919, and the heat from the Korean people’s rebellion actually had started to worried the Japanese. Korean cultures were harmful to be practiced, since the Japanese was planting their culture roots into the owned countries. Shinto was a religion that must be practiced by everyone, and even personal treats such as names must be changed into Japanese.
And of course, Hangeul was strinctly forbidden to be used anywhere in that time.

The Korean young girls were kidnapped to be the sex toys of the senshi. Their families were grieving the lost for nothing, since there’ll be no bodies returned to them at all. Foods were unfairly distributed among the citizens; the pro-Japanese were given more than the antis.

And for that reason, Kyuhyun had to secretly working for the Japanese, just ensure that his two little brothers were fed at least once a day.

The brothers knew about his job; cleaning the boots of the Japanese soldiers, and they knew the reason for him to do it was because of them, so they didn’t say anything about it. But still, Kyuhyun always told them to not to support the Japs, for they brought nothing to their nation except sorrows.

“Avoid them whenever you can, and hate them as if you will die tomorrow.”

-

And it was a fate that Taemin, the little one, was a gorgeous pre-teen boy, with smooth face and shining eyes, that some not-so-straight Japanese soldiers saw him one day when he was walking home alone from school.

He tried to avoid the evil stares, but the next thing he knew, was that he was dragged to a secret room inside the Japanese military office, and surrounded by some tough looking guys, who were licking their lips and unfolding their belt.

“Kyuhyun hyung!!”

-

He was rushing to the military office as soon as Jonghyun reported to them that Taemin was kidnapped. But as soon as he wanted to kneel down to some officers there to let his little brother go, Taemin was looking all fine, escorted by a bit short guy, but tougher than Kyuhyun himself, and with a baby-faced look, out from an office.

“Hyung!!” the pre-teen boy were running as he saw his brother in front of him.

“Domo arigatou gozaimasu*, err...” the officer chuckled, as Kyuhyun wasn’t able to continue his words. Some feelings inside him told him that he knew this guy from somewhere before this.

“Satoshi-san would be a good calling for me.” And the Japanese officer smiled. Kyuhyun felt something was making his heart to beat greater than before.

He was touched, and astonished by Taemin’s story how the Satoshi guy saved him from the homo soldiers before. How he kicked and punched them, and even made them to knelt in front of Taemin, asking for forgiveness.

He was thankful to what Satoshi-san had done for saving Taemin, but then, he thought, that the soldiers must’ve known that Taemin was his brother, and they must be planning a revenge on the poor shoe cleaner of theirs.

-

And he was perfectly right. The next morning, as he was wiping the 50th shoes, a strong hand was grabbing him from behind, covering his mouth and dragged him to the same room like a dog. Even a dog could’ve been threat better than how he have been.

He was shouting and crying for the soldiers to let him go, but it was useless. As his hands were tied above his head, he could feel that some strong hands were harassing his butt hole and grabbing his dick. He gasped.

“What - what are you guys trying to do?? If this is about yesterday, then I’m sorry!! I’ll make sure that it won’t happen again - nnmpph??” he was forced to knelt and out of a sudden, a huge dick was shoved into his mouth, forcing him to suck it all in.
He felt as if he was lower than a dog would’ve been at that time. His clothes were all torn, and without any mercy, the cruel soldiers were fucking him like crazy. His butt were bleeding, and his hips ached, but the soldiers just kept on doing what they were doing.

And just when about he thought that he had died, a familiar voice suddenly brought him back to life once again.
“Oit, aho, yamette*. Bakas* like you guys should learn to fuck each other and die.” Satoshi was standing in front of the door, with his hands on his hips. And even from his blurry visions, Kyuhyun somehow had to admit that Satoshi looked really cool at that time.

And as he walked in, he locked the door behind. And Kyuhyun was about to witnessed one of the most brutal killing on the world.

-

His hands were twisting the last soldier’s head as if he was twisting a branch out of its place. Twenty soldiers were lying, dead in front of him. Some werer missing their hands, some were their heads, and a soldier was still alive when Satoshi walked on him and crushed his head to pieces.

If you asked Kyuhyun, he would say that this man here is not a human. His strength was out of this world. And he was just about to give up thinking about Satoshi probably an alien, when he saw the officer bent down and smelled the blood that was pooling around the room.

“Gomen*, but if you don’t want to watch this, you better turned your head around. This will be a bit umm, disgusting.” And Kyuhyun did as he was suggested.

While he was wearing a new cloth given by Satoshi, he could hear the sounds of slurpings and body parts ripped apart from its original place. The smell of blood were making him sick, and Kyuhyun still worried if he will be safe from the suddenly-a-vampire officer behind him.

But as he was giving thoughts about himself, he suddenly felt as if this was deja-vu. That these kind of things had happened before, with the same guy and the same situation. But when?

“Okay, done.” And as he turned around, the only thing he saw was a clean room, without any stains of blood anywhere. “Satoshi-san, how did you...-arggh!!” he was standing up abruptly, too surprised with what he saw, that he forgot about what had happened to him, and who he was talking to.

And as he was about to fall, when the vampire grabbed his waist, almost hugging him. And accidentally, Kyuhyun, staggering with his weak body, touched the nice-soldier-vampire’s crotch, that Satoshi stiffened his hands, trying to hold back.

“If you’re dealing with someone like me, never do that again.”

“Why?”

“We got sexually aroused after we were fed.”

-

He was sure that someone did told him the same thing about the vampire and all. About how they were fed and the consequences.

But what he didn’t know is, Satoshi was the one who told him that, a few centuries ago. When he was called by his real name, Sungmin. When Kyuhyun was a young master in a scholar house. When they were lovers, that were separated for the nature of human beings is to die when the time reached.

And for that reason, he was reborn as Kyuhyun once again. Maybe he wasn’t the perfect first Kyuhyun, but he is Kyuhyun at that time, and Sungmin just couldn’t help but be thankful for he had a chance to meet his beloved again, after waiting for a long time; a very, very long time.

Even in his most terrified position, Kyuhyun didn’t forget to thanked Satoshi, or Sungmin, for helping him, twice. And when Kyuhyun was asking about what he could do to repay his deed, Sungmin, being a perverted vampire as he always been, almost spill out his desire to have Kyuhyun’s body in his embrace once again.

But he rejected his own idea, for he was thinking that they still got a plenty of time ahead. And Kyuhyun was still in pain and trauma of the rape incident.

But he didn’t know, that Kyuhyun’s time in the second birth of him too, wasn’t long.

-

It was the 1st of March, 1919. The Independent Movement to free Korea from the clutch of Japanese cruel occupation was failing, due to the repression from the Japanese military. Thousands were killed, homes were burnt down, and a few ten thousands more were prisoned.

Sungmin was assigned to destroy every house in any district that was supporting the failing movement, and he was sighing, when he realized that one of the district was filled with hundreds of children who were protecting their houses. But he just didn’t care, for if the human’s adults were going to kill the human’s children, he’ll get his part of the meal.

And when the war drum struck, the children were throwing stones, but the soldiers were shooting guns. And the result? Even an animal would know who won.

The piling bodies of the children was a horror. Their little, undeveloped bodies were throbbed by the cruel guns, and some were still having small stones in their hands.

He was smiling, thinking that he would come back later at night and savour the sweet blood of the young humans, but when he saw a boy, knelt with his eyes closed, he knew it for sure, that he won’t have the chance to be with Kyuhyun in this life.

-

It was Taemin, with a hole in his left chest. His neck was almost snatched from his body from the multiple firing of the guns. His left arm was bent, and his right foot was gone.

And from a distance behind him, he could hear the roars of the adults who just returned home from the main march of the movement, and he was sure, that Kyuhyun was one of them. As he stood up, he didn’t say anything, but gave an action to his troops, telling them to fire.

“Goodbye Kyuhyun. I’ll wait for you again in the future.”

-

He was hugging the gasping, dying young man. The blood that flowed from his chest was staining his uniform. The uniform that was preventing him to be with his beloved in this life.

“Sa - Satoshi-san...” he held the dying man’s hand, putting it on his face, and smiled. “It’s Sungmin. My name is Sungmin, and I’ve been waiting for you from a long time ago, doryeon-nim.”

And as what people always told us, when you are dying a flash of memories from our recent and past life will be played in front of our eyes, Kyuhyun can perfectly remembered who Sungmin was to him now, that his tear couldn’t stop flowing.
“Yeah...I...remembered the promise. Can...can I do something...before I leave you...once again...Sungmin?” and as Sungmin neared his face,

Pang!! A slap hit him. “I told you...that I don’t want you...to wait...for me...” and he smiled for the last time. Sungmin chuckled with his teary eyes, kissed the lifeless lips of Kyuhyun and whispered;

“I didn’t even get a chance to embrace you in this life, doryeon-nim. You just couldn’t wait to leave me, huh? Don’t be mad if I can’t keep my love for you only.” And he smiled as he knew he was lying.

With his left hand, he dug out the bullet that separate him with Kyuhyun once again. “This will be my souvenir from this life of yours, doryeon-nim.”

And slowly, he pushed the bloody bullet into the flesh near his heart. “This is only yours to have.”

-

Kyuhyun woke up with a pair of teary eyes, gasping for air. The dream just now...was it a good dream, or a nightmare?
“Kyuhyun? What’s wrong?” Sungmin came in with a coffee in his hand. Kyuhyun suddenly jumped out of the bed and hugged him.

“Hyu - uuuuuuuuunnggg~~! Why did I had such a sad nightmare? Why did you have to be in there?? Why am I sad like this??” the magnae clung to him, as Sungmin smiled and patted his head.

“Maybe because you’re too tired. It’s okay. It was just a nightmare...don’t worry. Now go back to sleep.” And for some reason, he felt as if Kyuhyun need him to sing him a lullaby, which was strongly rejected by Kyuhyun himself.

It has been eleven months since Kyuhyun entered Super Junior, and Sungmin just couldn’t wait to tell him who he really was to Kyuhyun. And after he was sure that Kyuhyun had gone back to sleep, he kissed the magnae’s cheek, and slowly whispered;

“I will definitely tell you about us sooner this time, doryeon-nim. Sarang haeyo.”

And his right hands were rubbing his left chest. A metal thing was felt.

“This souvenir is still waiting for you to take it out.”

Special Interview 1 (Sungmin)

Writer: You’re a Japanese military officer!! What happened?

Sungmin: (laughing) I was having a misunderstanding with one of my friend about where Kyuhyun will be reborn.

Writer: So does this mean you were in Japan in a few centuries after the first Kyuhyun’s life ended?

Sungmin: Yes. I’ve learned how a samurai lived, and created a few new weapons, like the shuriken.

Writer: Impressive! But how did you ended up being in Japan anyways?

Sungmin: One of my friend predicted that Kyuhyun will be born in a country with long swords as weapon, and I forgot that Korea also got the swords like that. It was kinda stupid misunderstanding actually.(laughed)

Writer: Can I know if your friend is a vampire too?

Sungmin: (hesitating) umm...yes he is...in fact, he’s one of the Super Junior member, too.

Writer: Wha - What?? Who??

Sungmin: (Winked) That...you’ll gonna have to wait for the next part of the fic^^
