...well, I'm not leaving 'til Monday, now. My travel agent wasn't able to get me on the Thursday flight ( I did't quite get my passport fast enough) but at least I'll have a whole other weekend to pack really well and see everybody before I go ( Read more... )

yay! well thats good - my weekends are freer than the week now, so that ensures a night of partying :) haha.

my uncle lives in Houston, and he drives very wrecklessly, and we asked him one day why he's such a crazy driver, and he told he has to to get around Houston, haha. but glad you made it out of there safely.

how'd you and paul get a scholarship for displaced students when your school is LSU in baton rouge and open!!! thats crazy, and luck! i hope u have a great trip though. :)

..the scholarship was more based on how Katrina affected your family and not your school. Since Paul and I already had a hard time paying for college in the first place and adding in the fact that our families lost jobs and homes in the hurricane (plus we're German language students) we were fortunate enough to get chosen.

I'm sooooo looking forward to this whole trip and my year in Germany. I was so proud of you for going to Costa Rica; hopefully I'll remain as brave as you were :-)
