So after the show we had to find a place to stay that night. We all
split up by band on I-95 to find a hotel and Rule of Thumb went first.
We were driving for about and hour or two and Rule of Thumb were set on
driving really fucking far in that one night, so we kept driving also.
Next time we heard from them they were crossing the George Washington
Bridge and they were about to make their way into CT. We decided we
would go and meet them there but we took a rest stop, and the best
picture of the tour came out of that rest stop.
Its
an arm wrestling machine. It was fucking nutz. Then that night we got
to CT. and met up with Rule of Thumb outside their hotel. They chose
one that was $150 a night, which is amd effin expensive. They were
gonna try to sneak us in but the people in the hotel were already onto
them that they had more then 4 people in the room (they had 6). So we
went down the road the a really fuckin cheap motel, I think it was $40
a night. Heh, $40 a night...Ahoy style.
The Jackass got his own bed.
And Stoller got a Closet.
Stoller
standing infront of ROT's expensive ass hotel So the next morning we
woke up and went to Taco Bell, which was right next to RoT's hotel.
When we got to Taco Bell they had already left...or soemthing, any way
only we got to enjoy the delicious beans of CT Taco Bell.
We had some time to kill before we had to drive to our show in Vermont, so we drove around some city in CT.
Then we found a mall. When we were driving into the parking garage I could tell this mall was fucking nuts, look at the ramp.
When we got inside it was like a whole diffrent world. Just check it out dude.
I felt like I was upside down the whole time.
So we decided to leave the mall eventually and to start our trek into the far away land known as Vermont. We drove a lot.
And then we get there, and we get this awsume news.
"No Show"
Wow, we just drove like three hours for this shit and now theres no show. So we met up with RoT in a parking lot...
And we flew kites in thunderstorms...
And Alex fell into a river and got his shoes all wet, so we borrowed some sandels...
So we decided to get the hell out of bumblefuck and drive back down to civilization...Springfield that is.
And then we had a crazy fucking night. We got mad brews and mad hotel rooms and we just partyed all night with RoT.
Barker was the Kool Aid Man.
The basement show the next day in Mass. was fucking amazing. The kids house was real nice (Ross<3)
And so was his basement.
So
before we played there were mad kids dancing, jsut having a good time,
and I didnt know what type of reaction we would get. Usually at out of
state shows maybe like 3 kids dance and thats it. So we set up and we
start playing our intro, AND THE WHOLE ROOM STARTS MOVING BACK AND
FORTH. These kids fucking came out to see US, and they really like us.
As were going through our set things just get crazier and crazier. They
knew all the lyrics, they were shouting out song names, it was jsut the
greatest feeling in the world. This show was better then most on LI,
and all these kids are fucking awsume. I really hope I get to see them
again.
That
night we went to some girls house and we went in her pool and chilled.
It was really cool. Then after we went back to Ian's house and we slept
there. Sausto said I was fashioncore in the morning.
I
think I just looked hidieous. That day we jumped on a last minute show
in Mass and all the kids came out to see us again, which again was
fucking awsume. Knowing all these kids came out at the last second just
to hear our music and chill with us meant the world to me. Too bad none
of them are gonna be reading this entry. heh. So we played that show
and it was time to go back to LI. The drive was long but mad cool.
We made a rest stop on the way back and Heuy stole this...
Everyone
else thinks its fucking hilarious but I don't get it. Like I dont see
whats funny about it. Comment and let me know.
The next day was our LI show, which got wicked fucked up. If you were
there you know what happend probally, but basically only the touring
bands got to paly. Whatever it was a lot of fun.
I took some pictures of Perils of Reasoning...
And some of Rule of Thumb...
We
all went outside and took one big picture of everyone that went on tour
with us. Thers a few people missing in the picture but we counted it
out and I think there was supsoed to be 22 people.
The after party was fun, you know that if you were there. RoT came and they were mad chill as always.
And
thats about it. Overall, this tour was so fucked up. It was supposed to
be one full week, with 7 shows. We were supposed to get $50 a night and
cheese-less pizza. But in the end it really dosent matter what it was
supposed to be, and what was suppsoed to happen, becuase all I know is
that I had one of the greatest times of my life, and I wouldent have
had it any other way.
