   Over the last few weeks, some shit has happened to me that, to be quite frank, sucks ass.  And yet, in spite of adversity, acute social isolation, and a rather soul draining academic existence due to a certain disciplinary period I have been forced to endure, I find myself rather satisfied.  Delighted, even, at times.  I'm so smitten.
