I didn't realize the boyscouts still did that - I mean, I know they used to and that really offended me (and was why I quit when I was younger, even though my dad was the scoutmaster and wouldn't talk to me for months after I left his troop) but I thought by now they'd have stopped that. It just seems so wrong that a group could actually maintain such twisted 'morals' for such a long time. I hope they do disband if they don't stop this approach

1) getting out of quincy is, i think, a good idea for you. it isn't hard. you just need to find a place you would enjoy living. don't worry about not knowing people. you will meet people, develope friendships, and you are never alone. you at the very least will always have the network of friends that you have had since high school. a job may not solve all of your problems, but at least you will have a means and reason to leave. try looking for jobs in cities that you are interested in living in
