Can you feel it?
The intense longing.
My intense longing for you.
I am always thinking ‘where are you’, ‘what are you doing right now’, ‘what are you thinking about’…I want to know. I want to know all these. Because they are all about you.
But..I couldn’t say it out loud.
Whenever I tried to tell you how I felt about you, how much I longed for your warmth, how much I thought of you every single moment..no words ever come out of my mouth.
In fact, all I could do was to stand there quietly; watching you laugh happily and flirt with the others.
I could do nothing.
After all, I was not the one you loved so deeply. I was not the one you desired so much. I was not the one you harbored such genuine feelings for. After all, I wasn’t him.
I was sitting right there. Right in front of you.
But you couldn’t see me. All you see in your eyes is that person who was standing miles away from you. And yet, you walked past me without noticing my presence. I watched in silence as you scurried to chase after him just to say a ‘hello’. I watched how your pretty twinkling eyes sunk into disappointment as he walked away after giving an excuse to reject your “study date” with him. You then turned around and walked past me again. The second time you walked past me without noticing me.
How ironic.
Do you know how much I longed for you to look at me?
Do you know how much I longed for you to think of me every second of your day?
Do you know how much I wished to be in that person’s position?
I was there the whole time. And yet, you never see me. You were too blinded by him. No. You were too blinded by love.
But, what right do I have to say that?
After all I, too, was blinded by love because I was too deeply in love with you, Kibum.
