I really need to take your approach and say yes more too. I always turn people down because I hate choosing someone over another - like say two groups of friends want to hang out with me...and I always turn them both down with a "no i've got work to do" (translation: no i'm going to read manga kthx) D:

Two huge, huge things I recently (in the past few years) I said yes to were switching colleges and going to Chicago. Switching to a different school was one of the most amazing things I could have done. After my Roommate From Hell, I was terrified to see who I'd get stuck with, but I ended up with the most amazing girl I've ever met. :) She's such an awesome person and the best roommate ever. (:D and we went to the Twilight premiere specifically to make fun of it
