[It's been a few days, and Astrid has gotten restless sitting around in the little house attached to Hiccup's smithy. She's so used to things being in constant motion, to there always being something to do-- dragon raids at night, dragon training in the day, helping her mother when she wasn't doing anything else... [The first thing Hiccup had done was poke his head out of the smithy and look for Astrid. When he hadn't found her, that all-too-familiar unsettled sensation had settled in the pit of his stomach.]

Hey, are you alright?

[The lighting wherever he is at is dim, and his face is completely covered in soot, but he seems concerned, at least.]

[She picks the PCD up and after a few moments of fiddling, changes the setting. She's sweating, but it mostly looks like she was just out running around outside. Her response is curt, but nothing out of the ordinary.]

I'm fine. One of the rabbits surprised me.

Haven't you been keeping up with--

[No, she probably hasn't been keeping up with the videos about the animal attacks. He can barely figure out how to scroll through posts on the network himself, and he's got over a week on her.]

Were you bitten, is what I mean? People are getting sick from the bites.

[She had been, actually-- she had a rather lengthy conversation with Undertaker in regard of it. But she hadn't figured out how to scroll through posts-- with her lack of anything to do, she'd simply been watching the posts as they happened and talking at them if they were at all interesting. She scowls slightly.]

I know that. I'm fine, Hiccup. [Though even as she says it, she catches herself stopping to lean on her debris-shield and catch her breath much faster than she should have needed to. Not that she's going to make note of this to him, or anything.]

[He's just worrying about everyone and everything today. First Negi's sick, and then Break nearly gives him a heart attack, and now Astrid's getting attack. Guh.]

[She clicks her tongue a bit and wanders over to the PCD, picking it up.] Hi, Al. [It's a somewhat terse greeting, but he'll get used to her attitude eventually.]
