Don't think about relationships as forever. At least not at this point. For people our age relationships are just company and someone to fuck until it gets too boring for one person or both people involved. That's partly why marriages fail so often. People are trying to make permanent a temporary thing. Since we live so long or expect to anyway forever is a long time to put up with somebody, especially starting at this time in life. My advice is to not take it so seriously. Most people won't appreciate a real relationship until they are much more mature and aged, when forever doesn't seem like such a long time anymore.
All this is said based on the fact that we are a selfish, impatient culture and the way we do business with one another is predicated on that fact.
