...this hurt *so damn good*. I love the relentless pacing here -- He hits the road in his thirty-fifth hour of consciousness -- all the way to end, like he's deliberately hurtling forward.

Wow. I love this!

I firmly beleive this to be true. *hugs the boys* And you made me feel for Cassie, too, Cassie and *Bruce*, even. But mostly Cassie, because she brought him back, hurting all along, and apparenlty death brought clarity and he isn't hers anymore. *sniffle* But oh, it hurts so good.

This voice is so Tim, dry and with all this emotion *just* under. Your pacing is perfect, like Gloss said.

Boooys.

I love how tired Tim is in this. He finds out Kon's back, and there's no joyous squealing or dancing or huge grins or any obviously expressive celebration and it's kind of like everything up to this point has left Tim so emotionally drained, so worn, that he can't even feel the good stuff properly anymore. Or, at least, he can't feel it in the way that you usually feel good stuff, with a buzzing rush of energy. I'm sure he is happy, but I wouldn't be surprised if his happiness felt something a little bit more like relief to him. Less 'sudden burst of energy' and more 'that one small scrap of himself that's keeping it all in check finally making a small snapping noise, and then him not really being able to cope with anything other than clinging to Kon'. And, well, him not being able to express how he feels except through just clinging and clinging and clinging to Kon feels incredibly right to me ( ... )

Thank you so much for your amazing feedback! It's really gratifying to see that the feeling you're trying for really came over. I'm really anxious to see if Tim does ever get a chance to really recuperate in canon (ads for World War III seem to be hinting he's going to put up the cape for a while).
