So, this fic also fits
this prompt over at the sherlockbbc_fic comm. Moar MYCROFT/LESTRADE. Oh yes. It /happened/. ;D

I actually started out by reading Lestrade/Sherlock, but I had some problems with the mental balancing act of shipping Lestrade/Sherlock *and* Sherlock/John at once (well, true, OT3's exist for that reason ... ;D), but Sherlock/John sort of became a bit of an OTP, and then I though "MYCROFT! (Also, Mycroft's totally a bit of a stalker. ;D)

Mycroft and Sherlock are really quite similar generally, aren't they? ;D (Except they would kill me if I said that, probably. ;D) Only Mycroft tends to be ... slightly more sublte, tactful, and socially competent. Also, Mycroft is WATCHING YOU. Sherlock just figures everything out from, like, your fingernails or something. ;D

(And, yeah, he is kind of cute, in a spiky, I-am-really-actually-a-bit-scary-honest-why-does-nobody-*see*-this way. ;D)
