Oh my! Ashley MacIsaac has declared his intention to run for the Liberal leadership. Now, I've got nothing against celebrities running for office, but isn't this the guy who was dumped by his record label for poor behaviour ( Read more... )

I dunno... I think if Jess Alfoldi were in Canada, she could give him a run for his money ;)

Damn... if Jess and Johnath were both running for PM, I'm not sure who I'd vote for! Heh, it's such a hardship, having so many ridiculously intelligent friends. ;)

I think I'd have to go for Jess, actually. She has a much lower ISU quotient than J does, for one thing, and it's time we had a female PM, for another :D

Plus, she just plain rocks. And might put me in the cabinet.

Ok, not really with that last part.

*laughs* I'll get behind a Johnath for PM drive. If nothing else, the country would become an extremely interesting place to live. ^__^

Johnath for PM, Digger for King (am I the only one who remembers that?). I'm game. That'd be a good reason to move home.

As for Kel's reason B ("I'd expect Johnath to either try to conquor the planet or enact very strange legislations purely on a whim. Perhaps both. :)) - how is that any different than what's going on in American politics right now?

Admittedly, I'm not in any way advocating that we should emulate the US political strategy in OUR country....on the other hand, I think Johnath would make a much more interesting and amusing world dictator...if, or when, he actually succeeded.

I remember Digger for King! The strange thing is, I was on the same bus as him for 3 years, and I really don't know what his actual name was.
