please help me

i want, more than anything, to help the world and bring people together.

but i live in a society where self interest is what fuels the motivation for success.

I think everybody wants the world to come together. And unfortunately our society has been created by narrow minded people who only do things for themselves. The minute percentage of people who do things for others aren't recognized as often as they should be.

Let's move to Canada

some of us thrive off the creativity we possess, regardless of the fact that it provides us with nothing financially, or even emotionally, except of course the release that comes along with pouring your heart and soul onto a page. self interest exists as greed, yes, but more importantly there is a need to survive. even the most imaginitive of artists has to eat. college is full of people who think nothing of those around them, they simply go on fulfilling their personal needs at the expenses of others. you want to bring people together, drag them into a hallway and force them to write something intimate and special on a piece of paper, and toss it in a hat. then pass the hat around and everyone reads alloud a piece of paper from the hat. no one knows who wrong what...but suddenly the entire room knows eachother's intimate feelings. more importantly, each person, as an individual, feels exposed, because there on paper read out loud was what he or she wrote down.
