At first I was struck by how well Charlize Theron was made over to look like Aileen Wuornos. It seemed uncanny.

Then I was struck by how different Christina Ricci's character looked from Aileen Wuornos's actual girlfriend, Tyria Moore.

It makes sense. Tyria Moore is alive. They can't use her name and they probably don't want to risk making somebody look just like her. But really I think this gave them (why do I keep saying "them" without any actual finger pointed at exactly who "they" are?) the opportunity to put somebody hottish in the movie. You can't have hot lesbian sex scenes in a female serial killer movie if at least one of the lesbians isn't attractive.
