I used Starry Night once and it made my hair blue. Not even black-blue, just plain royal blue. However, this was over severely damaged bleach streaks (trying to make it go back to black for good) so maybe over non-bleached hair it would actually look black. I think your hair color in that picture looks very nice on you, but if you want something different I'd go with the cherry.
i vaguely remember people having these problems, but i can't remember specifically what went on with your hair... did you ever use henna in all of the colors and bleaching and dying? i think it's if henna's been used, the other normal dyes tend to come out all sorts of unpredictable. or it's the other way around :)
For some reason, although I have had purple hair, I do not think I would want blue. I won't risk it. Thank you for the warning! I'm actually leaning towards the cherry at this point. The purple and cherry colors are only in the UK right now, I think, so it would be fun to give one of them a try. Plus, I've never tried any bright colors before. I think I'll probably go back to this hair color once in the U.S. Although it does fade, it fades to something I find pretty acceptable.
i sent you a message via uiuc.edu, though i know not if you use such things! perhaps i should have just posted it here instead. livejournal conquers all.
