The Fish Legacy - 01.12
Last time on The Fish Legacy:
Banjo continued to fail at making friends. Axolotl was super successful and aged up into an adult. Band also aged up--into a spitting image of Axolotl. (Which, I'm sure, came as a surprise to absolutely no one.)
Remember how Guitar was famous as a baby? Well, he takes after Axolotl as far as celebrity quirks are concerned.
You okay there, buddy?
Guitar: You. YOU gave me this HIDEOUS NERD FACE!
Axolotl: What's wrong with your face?
Guitar: I'll never ever have a girlfriend because no one will be attracted to me!
Guitar: But you'll never understand because you're famous> and beautiful!
Previously, I had only been doing nice interactions, but I watched a Let's Play recently where they actually *gasp* let their Sims interact with other Sims based on their moods and personalities, so now whenever Guitar is angry, he's going to be mean.
I'm not sure my heart can take it, though.
Axolotl: I am a FIVE 👏🏽 STAR 👏🏽 celebrity 👏🏽! I am cooler than ANY adult you know!
Tell him, Axolotl.
Guitar: *incomprehensible rage noises*
Meanwhile, Kayla gets another promotion!

Guitar did this autonomously, and I didn't stop him because I'm growing as a person.
Jessica has the best party outfit and the worst everyday outfit which for some reason I haven't changed even as I write this months and months later. Since Banjo was also feeling mean for some reason, I had her mock Jessica's outfit.
I guess knocking over that trash can put him in an even flirtier mood....
Guitar: So. How do you feel about kissin' cousins?
Jessica: Why is this whole family awful?
Jessica: Look. I'm single. And we're not technically related. But I'm 100% not in to you.
Go invite Jaycee somewhere, Guitar.

Guitar: So, I didn't catch your number earlier.

According to MC Command Center, Jaycee's about half a life stage older than Guitar. I had originally planned to have Guitar date around, but I really like the two of them together, so I flagged her "no age" for now, and will probably have them grow up together even though I also really like the idea of there being a large age gap between them.
Confession
There were a good three weeks between gameplay and captioning, so I don't actually remember if they were on a date or not.
If there's no first kiss in a few screenshots, we will know for sure that it was not a date.
Cassidy: That could have been my son awkwardly firting with a manic pixie dream girl.
Jaycee: What's up with that creepy old lady staring at you? Doesn't she know you're mine?
Just when I thought I couldn't like her any more....
Also, she makes Banjo-level amazing faces.
Once I decided I wanted them to be teenage sweethearts, I tried to age her down in a not-so-cheaty way, buuut....
Guitar: I got you this gift so we could be together forever.
Jaycee: That's sweet, but I don't accept drinks from strange men.
Smart girl.
But very disappointing.
Guitar and Jaycee end their not-date with an awkward hug.
Meanwhile, Kayla and Axolotl celebrate being home alone.
Well. Almost alone.
Banjo: I'll forgive you for subjecting my eyes to that if you promise to pay all of my therapy bills for life.
Axolotl: Deal.
Whaaaat? Casandra's pregnant? With Alyse's baby?? How is she a young adult already???
And how are these two so cute after all this time?
Seriously, Kayla has spoiled me. I will never pair Axolotl with another Sim.
I don't think Axolotl minds, though.

a) Banjo should probably start running for safety
b) Guitar's body isn't nearly as weird as Band's was as a teen

I totally forgot Kayla was scheduled to work at the time I planned her birthday, so she's going to be leaving work early today.

Ohhh nooooo. They only just started flirting, but I also really want to celebrate Kayla's birthday, so....
Jaycee: Why don't we just try again sometime?
*sigh* I guess.
Just before Guitar was whisked away, he learned another trait. This one will probably be annoying if Guitar is voted heir and he winds up marrying Jaycee, but I can live with it...I think.
I forget what Banjo gave her.
But she got a hug for it, so it must have been alright.
Axolotl returned the rose Kayla gave her on Love Day.
Kayla was into it.
She's not so much into getting older, though.
Kayla: Still got it!

Axolotl: Stop hitting on my wife.
Omg. Stop trying to make Try For Baby happen. It's not going to happen.
Arthur Goth--son of Cassandra Goth and Darling Walsh--showed up. I want him in this legacy so much you, guys. But he's so much older than Banjo....not the same issue didn't prevent me from cheat-stunting Jaycee's aging for Guitar....
These two papparazzi are adorable. I kind of really want to do a spinoff where they're a cute lesbian couple who maybe own an art gallery filled with their photography and one is the phorotrapher and the other is the business-savvy muse....

If you're curious, when I finally did resume my game, I was both surprised and dismayed to find out how close I was to needing an heir poll. I am so excited to post that poll and start playing again in earnest. But first...three more entries. 😫
