[Prologue] [Chapter 1]

Chapter 2:

The ride back to the Pine-tree kingdom took almost a full day. Usually, Jun would get bored on such long trips that he would stop at a town or two along the way for drinks and a bit of partying, but this time, his new toy kept him occupied.

Jun found it very amusing how the captured prince curled himself into a ball and tried to fit himself into the corner of the carriage, his thin pajamas unable to keep his small body warm during the cool autumn day. Jun was particularly fascinated by the way his toy’s toes would twitch every time the wind blew at the barefooted prince, which was why he purposely left the windows wide open.

He was almost reluctant to disembark the carriage when the driver announced that they had reached Pine-tree kingdom, but being home after a five-day war did feel good. Although he would miss the way his prisoner’s cheeks would swell up as though he was going to throw up every time they came across a bump in the road, Jun was sort of getting bored of it.

“Father, mother, I’m home,” announced Jun, throwing open the double doors of his castle’s grand hall open with as much flair as he could. His parents were obviously waiting for his return, sitting on their respective thrones, watching him with grim faces.

“My son, I hope this will be your last conquest,” sighed his father, “Our kingdom is big enough, there’s no need to conquer more,”

Jun scowled, displeased with his wimp of a father. Turning on his heels, Jun marched off to his room like a little kid throwing a temper.

“Where did we go wrong with that child?” he heard his mother sob as he left the great hall, turning to the corridor which led to his room.

Fuming, Jun stormed into his room and sat down at the foot of his bed, hands folded across his chest as he scowled. Just as he was about to flop onto his bed, he spotted a small shadow through his peripheral vision. Turning to the intruder, Jun was about to give him hell for disturbing him when he noted it was the Neen Kingdom’s prince.

As he had instructed, his prisoner was waiting in his room, his pajamas replaced by a frilly French maid outfit that barely covered his ass and showed off his slim and smooth legs making Jun glower at how his prisoner’s looked more gorgeous than he did.

Time for fun.

“Ni~no~” he sang, using the name that he heard the prince’s guard call him.

Ninomiya Kazunari glared at his captor, furious hearing that name coming from that brute’s lips. Only Sho was allowed to call him that, Sho and no one else. How dare this monster use that name on him!

Looking away, Nino completely ignored the other prince, face red at the outfit he was forced into.

“Fine, ignore me…” sighed Jun dramatically, “that’s if your brother’s life doesn’t mean anything to you,”

“Kazuya!” gasped Nino, shocked that this brute of a man had his brother captive.

“And…Sho…was it?” continued Jun, pleased that he had an upper hand over his prisoner.

The mixture of anger and fear on Nino’s face was priceless, making Jun snigger. Knowing that he had Nino in the palm of his hand, Jun sat at his tea table, “Make me tea,” he ordered.

Unable to defy his ‘master’ now that his brother’s and friend’s lives were on the line, Nino reluctantly made the tea, purposely adding lesser water to make the taste very strong. Unfortunately, Jun wasn’t fond of the idea of someone inferior to him rebelling like that and had Nino make the tea again and again even though the smaller man scalded himself when the kettle gave way in his weak hands.

Seeing the frustrated look on Nino’s face, Jun smirked. This was his first ever toy even though he had conquered many kingdoms. The previous kingdoms that he had conquered only had strong princes and dainty princesses. The princes were usually injured during battle, and Jun wasn’t interested in those frilly princesses. The Neen kingdom was the only one so far with a weak prince, making him the perfect tool to show how he had control over the fallen kingdom.

“I need a bath,” announced Jun, purposely pouring Nino’s hard-made tea away without even taking a sip. Nino pouted as he followed Jun into the bathroom at his command, rolling his eyes at how the taller prince had blood all over him but was still able to enjoy tea first. Shows how accustomed to war Jun was.

Reluctantly, Nino helped the prince undress, turning his gaze away as Jun stepped into the bath fully unclothed. As he heard the splashing of water, indicating that Jun was washing himself, Nino tried to suppress the urge to run away from this monster. He desperately wanted to run back to his kingdom, back into the safety of the castle, back into the safety of Sho’s strong arms, but he knew it was no use. He won’t make it back in his condition, and he still had Kazuya’s and Sho’s lives to worry about.

No, he can’t run. He won’t run. He might be a prisoner, but he is still a prince. He can’t run away when things get difficult. No, he’ll stay and face whatever his captor was going to throw at him. He was going to show his people that he hadn’t given up. He was going to show Jun that he’s not a weakling to be messed with. He was going to show everybody that he may be ill, but he’ll still strong.

His first day of horror came to an end when Jun finally went to sleep, exhausted after his battle. It was only when Jun was fast asleep when Nino was finally released for the day. Another servant had showed him to his room, more of a cell. The door slammed shut, leaving him in total darkness in his pathetic windowless cell which was so small it would barely fit two single-sized beds.

The only good thing about the place was his pajamas which had been laid on the straw mat. The familiar fabric on his skin, Nino managed a small smile as he laid onto the straw mat which did nothing to mask the hardness of the concrete floor. Using his arms as a pillow, Nino tried not to sob at how he had turned from a prince of a wonderful kingdom into a slave.

His stomach let out a grumble and Nino tried his best to ignore it. Subconsciously, his hand stole out to gentle rub his abdomen while he told himself that nobody was going to turn up with a bowl of soup and spoon feed him.

He was on his own now.

In the end, sleep managed to take his mind off hunger. Tired, scared and humiliated, Nino drifted off to sleep, unsure of what horrors tomorrow would bring.
