I should get around to updating this thing. It is finally the end of the academic year. Well, actually, it finished a week ago for me after a very intense ten days. I was quite proud of myself, since I found this bizarre burst of motivation and got my last assignment in a day early just so that I could finish sooner

I hope the surgery goes well. Keep us posted.

I at least get to come home the next day, hopefully the next morning. By the looks of the forms I have, if it was morning surgery, they'd actually let me out that day if all goes well, sometime in the evening, but I'm scheduled for the afternoon, so they keep me in overnight. Kind of a pain, since I obviously won't have Internet access there, but I suppose I'll get a lot of reading done.

In all seriousness, I hope the operation and recovery goes well.

Anyway, I will be praying that your operation goes well. Yes, I know you don't believe much in the value of prayer, but what can I say? I have to pray for you:
"...you clean, courteous, reverent, pious old blasphemer"
(Heh. Sorry, I just discovered that a character in a Chesterton novel who is Catholic refers to an atheist in the novel in that way, and I thought it was the *perfect* description of you. lol.)

Wait, courteous, reverent? Don't say that too loudly; it may impinge upon the "Assver" reputation I'm cultivating for myself! Oh, hang on, blasphemer. Well then, we're doing OK.
Heh, no, seriously, thank you.

Yeah!!!
Whether these ideas turn into fully fledged entries that I'm willing to post is another matter entirely.
The first sentence giveth, and the second sentence taketh away...
And I am sure you will find the content of at least one entry highly disagreeable on an intellectual level
Unfortunately, I highly doubt I will be able to respond to it (other than perhaps a brief comment). There are already two other comments by others I need to respond to which require a long reply which, due to my laziness and the procrastination skills I have learned from you, I have put off replying to, and it looks like I will continue to do so for a while. Naturally, I gave you the blame credit for that on my LJ. :-)

Not to worry, one of the entries is almost good to go. Except it'll only interest ... uh ... nobody.

Fantastic. This means you have been snared by my trap. While you are pre-occupied with procrastinating on OTHER comments, I can get away with posting utter drivel without anybody to counter me! SuperWin.
'Now, just remember, though:'I would counter this by asking that isn't it just as blasphemous to a believer in Thor to say "Thor does not exist" as it is to a Christian to say "Yahweh does not exist ( ... )
