Title: Video Games
Pairing: OT5, OnKey 2min interaction I suppose?
Rating: PG for language
Genre: Crack
Summary: Roles reverse for a day.

What if the members switched roles for a day?

"I wish you'd stop making fun of my sangtae, Kibummie. If only you knew how it felt..."
"Pfft, Jinki, that day that would happen would be the day you'd be as cool as Minho-ah."
"I want to be amazing like umma too~"
"Well, I wanna try being cute like Taeminnie." ("That's disturbing," Key snorts from the background.)
"..." Minho ponders what it would be like to have Jonghyun's voice...

------------------------------------------------------------

Role reversal begins.

Key fell off the bed this morning.

He also slipped in the bathroom, when the floor wasn't even wet. His fingers seemed to be as slick as butter; everything slipped from his grasp and his joints felt all wobbly.

Numerous bumps and bruises later, he reaches the bedroom, and nudges the sleeping Jinki with his foot. Even this small action makes him lose his balance and he lands hard on his butt. Something wasn't right with him today, he thinks with an annoyed sigh.

Jinki rises slowly, much to his surprise (Jinki usually took a lot of sweet-talking and pestering before he even made any effort to get up) and rubs his eyes sleepily. Key watches as Jinki brushes his bangs off his eyes, yawning slightly while stretching.

Key had no idea why, but Jinki seemed extra sexy today.

"Are you up?" Key nudges Jinki again with his foot.

Jinki doesn't say a word, simply nods and pulls himself up from the bed. Key just stares, a little dumbfounded; the usual Jinki would whine like a little girl and stumble his way out of bed, probably end up tangling himself in the blankets and fall off the bed for good measure.

But this Jinki was pulling himself gracefully off the bed (Key never thought he'd see the day 'Jinki' and 'graceful' would be associated in the same sentence) and reaching out a hand to help Key up, a small smile on his lips.

Okay, something was definitely way off. Jinki was emitting some sort of pheromone, something that made him seem so much more gorgeous and hot and sexy and--

Taemin comes in amidst Key's baffled speechlessness. The maknae was wearing an apron and held a spatula with one hand.

"Are you all awake? Breakfast is ready~"

Taemin making breakfast? The same Taemin who didn't even know what the purpose of a frying pan was, much less know how to use it?

What the heck was going on?

"Kibummmiiieee, Jinki-hyuuuung, breakfast is reaaaddyyy~"

If an oddly-acting Jinki wasn't bad enough, Jonghyun seemed to think it was a good idea to act cute today. He wiggled around them and giggled like a little girl, making Key shudder.

------------------------------------------------------

Breakfast was certainly a weird affair.

Rather than the usual Key wearing his pink apron and piling food lovingly prepared for them on their plates, it was Taemin wearing the pink apron today, piling something...indescribable on their plates.

Taemin was certainly in the mood to do Key's role for the day, but this certainly didn't mean he was going to be as good as the real thing. Key, with his usual scathing comments, was silent, just blinking at pile on his plate, as if in a daze. Jonghyun was poking it cutely (cutely?!) with his fork, pouting. Jinki wanted to come up with something funny, but his mind was blank.

The suddenly, "What the heck is this?!"

Jinki didn't know who was more surprised at Minho's sudden outburst. The usual silent Minho was nudging the 'food' on his plate with his fork, asking what the heck it was, it didn't even look like food. Minho, talking? Other than that, talking like that to Taemin?

Jinki sunk lower in his seat, expecting the predictable scenario of Taemin bursting into tears and Key unleashing hell's wrath and fury upon them.

Instead, Taemin calmly gripped the handles of the rice cooker.

"Hyung...You wanna die?"

Jinki concludes - as the rice cooker slams onto Minho - that Taemin really was wearing Key's role for the day; only he did the violent parts much, much worse.

------------------------------------------------------

The boys eventually settle for spending time playing video games in the living room, each person realizing that something was definitely...off with themselves. Jinki's body moved on its own, grabbing one of the game controllers and handling it with practiced ease. Once everyone got over their surprise - their hyung rarely played video games as he was prone to breaking things when excitement took over - Minho also took one. Key opted out, still recovering from his injuries, so Jonghyun took the third controller. Taemin, on the other hand, was busy cleaning around the house.

The game was going normally at first, everybody expecting Minho to win as he always did. Jinki and Minho tried to concentrate as Jonghyun made weird squeals and noises while playing, something only Taemin did.

The game was nearing its end, and Minho was jabbing frustratedly at his controller, unlike Jinki who was laid back and looked almost bored. The game finally ended, and the winner was...

"What the fuck--"

Everyone jumped at Minho's - Minho - sudden outburst. Jonghyun made a cringe-worthy pout, and threw the controller on the table. "That's not fair!"

Jinki, as this had been the first time he'd won a video game against the boys, could only stare blankly at the screen.

"You were cheating, hyung! I would've won--that's not fair--" Minho had always been a competitive person, but he was never vocal about it. Jinki could only stare at the usually-mute Minho spouting off angrily at him, and tried to say something, anything, but his mind was blissfully blank, apart from the fact that he won, and that seemed to be the only thing that mattered to him. Jonghyun started crying at Minho's rage, and Minho continued talking, probably amounting to the same number of words he'd ever said in his entire life.

Key, on the other hand, was trying to pacify the situation, standing up and holding up his hands in surrender in a very Jinki-type pose, softly calming Minho down. Now normally Key would either use violence to end an argument or shout loud enough for them to shut the hell up, but he was speaking in such a soft and calm voice that they didn't think was possible.

Minho was still annoyed, Jinki was still blank, Jonghyun was still crying, Key wasn't doing a very good job of ending the (one-sided) argument, when Taemin comes in with the broom...

And promptly smacks Minho unconscious. "Hyung, shut the fuck up."

The boys now decide to stick to watching TV, the game controllers put far, far away from their reach till their personalities were back to normal (and Taemin was back to his normal aegyo self - his level of violence was about three times as worse as Key's, and Jonghyun's aegyo was beginning to disgust everybody).

Their chicken CF comes on, and suddenly Key blurts out, "Guys guys, why was the chicken happy?"

Everyone blinks in confusion, and Taemin asks, "...Why?"

"Because everything was eggcellent! Get it?"

After a moment of stunned silence at the extremely lame joke that only Jinki could possibly pull off, Minho spontaneously bursts out a flaming-charisma rendition of the Onew Sangtae song, only this time he sings, "Whatever he does, it's Kibum Sangtae!~", his voice cracking near the end.

------------------------------------------------------

"I want my personality back."

Key groans this from his bed, still suffering from the numerous bumps and bruises acquired from the day, along with the numerous humiliations from the lame jokes he'd just randomly blurted out from out of nowhere.

Jinki wanted to rub it in that now Key knew how he felt, but he also wanted his personality back, because, frankly, it was nice to talk...

"Can someone read me a story?" Everyone groaned out loud at Jonghyun's disturbing aegyo, and this request was acknowledged by Taemin throwing the alarm clock at him.

"No, go to sleep hyung." Yes, Taemin's violence was definitely not going to be missed.

As the lights switched off, each boy drifted off to sleep, tiredly wishing to be back to normal the next morning.

Then all of a sudden, the first lines of slightly-out-of-tune Ring Ding Dong drifted from Minho's bed.

"My laaaddyyy~"

------------------------------------------------------

This. Was. Fail. -_____-; Work is taking over my life, and my LJ says I haven't updated in 6 days, ohmygawd DX Well sorry for the fail guys, the ending was extra fail too since I didn't know how to end it (as usual).

If you're still confused as to who is what, here is a quick guide;
onew = flaming charisma
key = onew sangtae
taemin = almighty key
minho = bling bling jonghyun
jjong = cute maknae

So yeah...*drifts off*

But comments are loved <33
