It was perhaps, a fairytale story.
Big, happy family, smiling and laughing.
Umma. Appa. Baby.
They were so young, still fresh and unaware from the darker side of life. Free from boundaries, just young boys having fun playing house.
Yet the darker side that nothing, nothing ever lasts forever, eventually comes.
Babies don't stay infants. They grow older, and as they do, learn to stand on their own feet, learn to let go of the hands supporting them.
"I'm going to study in America, umma. In a dance school."
The soft palms you once held drift away, and the foundation cracks.
As the foundation cracks, so does the link that binds the two together.
"I'm going for my military service. Goodbye...Kibum."
In the end, only he is left alone.
Because fairy tales don't always have a happy ending.
