Man, this post sounds like I could have written it. I have the same gripes about the system and the same situation where I dont play it that much so it's always ded.

the thing i dont really understand is why it's always dead (since, you know, it's not like i left the damn thing on for 6 months), whenever i finally recharge it i always have to end up reinputting the date and time and all that stuff, too! wtf sony! wtf!

if you haven't updated to 37.1 M33 you can play emulators and play your new games too. There's a site that my brother goes to do all his firmware stuff.
