A few days have passed and he still sits in the same spot like he usually does and waits for the arrival of that person; waiting for him to pass through that door like he usually does every day for work.

Right on time, the door swings open and he can see a figure illuminated by the strong sunlight.

He looks up in anticipation and his mouth already starts to curve into a smile, ready to greet the person like always.

“Ohayou, Keito-kun.”

It’s not him.

Not him.

He should’ve known. He knows. But it still hurts nonetheless. It hurts a lot, even if people are forgetting but he can’t.

He hates it how he sets himself up for the disappointment that waits. He hates himself for being such an optimist for something so definite.

He hates himself for even hoping for it when it’s never going to change.

Giving a half-hearted greeting in reply, he then drags himself to the dressing room.

Tomorrow, it’ll be the same thing. He knows, but he also knows he can’t help himself for waiting.

He’s fixing up some of the stuff inside the room, just because he can and he wants to and maybe he’ll be able to forget some things he doesn’t want to remember.

Just outside the room, he hears the unmistakable sound of someone playing a game on a DS and his mind immediately tells him to drop everything he’s doing and go outside.

Bam!

He swings the door open and stops when he sees the person outside.

“Eh? Yuto?” Yuto realises he’s facing Nino, with a DS in hand.

He must be very transparent at that moment because Nino gives him a few encouraging pats on the back.

It wasn’t until that goes back inside that he realises his cheeks are slightly wet.

When his box of pocky isn’t at the place he usually puts them that day, Yamada goes into his hunting mode.

“Can’t you go a day without messing up my day?” he says to no one in particular.

Just as he’s about to yell out the name like he always do most of the time his stuff goes missing, he stops before any sound even gets to leave his mouth and he falls down on his knees, staying there for the longest time before Yabu comes in to give him his pocky that fell from his bag earlier.

Yabu holds him for a while and the tears come out.

“Why?!”

He feels like it is better if his pocky goes missing then.

“Please take care of me,” the boy bows in somewhat a similar manner to him.

Eight sets of eyes are on him right now, and the boy tries to tell what all of them are thinking. He doesn’t feel like he should be here. He doesn’t want to be here. He can’t be a replacement for something that doesn’t need to be replaced; doesn’t have to be replaced.

When the tenth person steps into the room, everything falls apart.

“Why are you here?!” he’s hysterical; Chinen is.

Letting his bag falls on the floor with a loud thump, he charges towards the boy and starts hitting him.

“You’re,” a hit, “not,” another one, “HIM!”

And he falls down on the floor.

“You’re not him,” he says finally, in a quiet voice.

The room falls into a silence that no one dares to break.

A/N: yes, I killed Ryuu-chan. And put Shin in JUMP.  /hides.
