My name is Hikaru and there’s this guy I like. His name is Yabu Kota.
We don’t see each other much; just in the morning when he goes to school and in the evening when he gets back.
He hugged me the first time we met. Of course I was shocked. I don’t have many friends, just some random street kids that passed by my place sometimes.
He promised he’ll come and see me every day the first time we met. I think I liked him from day one.
Today is the same as always, we meet in the morning and here I am waiting for him in the evening at the same place.
“Hika-chan!” Oh, that’s him. He has a nice smile, don’t you think? A smile that goes all the way up to his eyes and ears that it looked kind of silly because you can’t see his eyes at all but it fits him all the same.
He runs up to me in excitement. Then, he hugs me tightly before letting go.
“Okaa-san says that you can come home with me. Isn’t that great?” He’s practically bouncing and honestly, I am too.
“We’ll get you a new collar too, just to make it official.”
I snuggled up to him hearing it and he picks me up and starts walking home.
“I love you, Hika-chan. Oyasumi,” he says that night. Jumping on my bed, I give a little bark. I love you too, Kota.
