The peeing monster

So...the kitten I just aquired is the cutest thing I've ever seen...except she is supposed to be litter trained and she won't go in her litterbox! Last night she peed on my blanket (as it was covering me, mind you) in bed, and then today daniel was sitting on the couch with a blanket and she pooped on him! She's really friendly, and active, and ( Read more... )

OH NO!! My old cat used to do that when she was pissed off at me..lol...she was a vicious, yet awesome cat! I will try to find soemthing out for you from some firends who work at the SPCA, until then, try giving her treats when she's int he litter box...like, lure her to the litter box with a treat, then give it to her only while she's in there. Kinda gross to eat i there i'm sure, but ashe might get the idea. I will try to fond more help....email me later today, to remind me..lol...ansd I will check it out! HGood luck for now!

With Miss Kitty we would put her in the box. Rather she was acting like she had to go or not. She peed on the tree skirt and after she peed Peter picked her up and set her in the box. After a couple of days she got it. The only problem we have now is her playing with her poop! It is really gross! LOL

You could try putting some of her poop in the litter tray and then keep putting her there throughout the day. More than likely she will be attracted to 'her' smell and will get the hint (this worked for my rabbit at least!). Also try putting her food/water near the tray to encourage her to go there.

you might want to try putting the poop if she does it elsewhere, into the litter box. Also, make sure that the litterbox is accessible to her, that she has no problems getting into or out of the litter box...

Whenever we have kittens we would use those aluminum foil trays that you get at the grocery store... one that's fairly shallow, for say, a lasagna. Also, try putting a few of them out...

but yeah, moving the cat to the litter box to just dig around, whether she needs to pee or not is a good idea.

Thanks everyone!

I've tried putting her in the box to let her dig around, but she just isn't interested AT ALL. She just jumps right out and goes to play with something else. Daniel and I are at work all day today, and I just know she's going to pee on something!
