...and the scary thing is, that ain't for show. He uses EACH instrument on that monster kit!

There was a time Neil Peart's kit would have rivaled that, if not bettered it. At one of the live shows he actually had a real drumset and electronic drumset back to back. Both were double bass setups and each with it's compliment of cymbals. During songs that required a change in kit, his setup would rotate to the appropriate one. I guess Neil has toned down with age. He uses a muchh simpler kit now. Still rocks like there's no tomorrow though. :)

I'd like to listen to a song where he uses every single one of those things.

I think Metropolis uses a majority of the kit. Falling Into Infinity album ata. Or get the video clip from Kelvin. It's probably a drum solo. ;)

Look here for more of Portnoy's drums. The Siamese Monster kit is insane!

Other kick-ass setups:
- Terry Bozzio's, Jeff Beck. Check it out here;
- Charlie Benante's, Anthrax (listen to "Nobody Knows Anything" from WCFYA);
- Joey Jordison's, Slipknot;
- Danny Carey's, Tool;
- Brad Wilk's, RATM/Velvet Revolver (ubersimple, super effective); etc. etc.
