History: Ayane was a mischevious little girl. From the age of five and her first day at school she caused trouble for her class. She was on countless times called to the headteacher. This didn't seem to bother Ayane though and it caused a lot of trouble and loss in reputation for the Yokoyama family. At the same time, her little sister was born and of course this sparked sibling rivalry. Ayane was never keen on the little devil, and the only time she was ever nice to it it threw up it's milk all over her brand new pink top... You can just picture how that went down.
A few months later, her father got in to a dodgy deal with a fellow businessman which left the family income in tatters. Her mother quit her job in an attempt to get easy money quick and they sold their house before it was too late, along with a lot of the stuff inside that wasn't required for the move. They looked up and down the market, searching for medium sized houses all over Japan. Then they saw a local advertisement in a local paper advertising (funnily enough ._.) a house in a small town on an island, about a mile from the mainland. The whole family agreed this would be a great oppurtunity for a new start and so they proceeded to buy their new house, which they quickly moved in to. When they moved on they experienced a completely new life. It was a new start for them, and Ayane promised to buck up her attitude.
They were greeted warmly and Ayane had no problems finding friends, despite it being already halfway through the first year in their education. Her best friend was Haruka Yoshida, however she really wanted to get to know some of the others, like Aya Nishiyama and Katsue Itsuma.
She led a normal life in a normal town for the rest of her short life, that is until she was thirteen. Her mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and wasn't given long left. She hadn't detected the first symptoms on her skin and this led to the incurable state she was in. It was far too late for any radiated treatment. Her mother, being the caring woman that she was, decided it was best to hide it from her daughter; who had finally settled in to the community. So of course, this meant that her beloved mothers death came as a huge suprise and she definitely fell distant to the family after the death. For a few months she despised her father for keeping this a secret from her and she even managed to manipulate her little sister Matsuko to take a dislike to her father, however she always ended up running back to him when times got tough. Ayane held out for much longer but it was when her father locked them in a room together and confessed the bad things he had done and that the only thing that keeps him waking up is his daughters... This obviously severely changed her opinions of her father.
In recent years she has also become more distant to her peers that aren't friendly towards her. It's not her being timid, it's not being shy; she just doesn't feel comfortable and has no interest in socializing with those who are either insocialable, study-freaks or just annoying. However, she isn't a bitch about it and won't call them out on the whole thing. However, she has a huge dislike for Haruka Yoshida; the whore who took naked pictures of herself. She hates how good people die and bad people are the ones who keep on living. Never mind how many bad things they do, they always outmatch the pure, innocent quiet and nice person, ALWAYS. Something that has always occured with Ayane is she tends to have friends outside of her school homeroom, rather than inside. In her own time she hands around with her friends, most notably Ayumi Kakamura, a girl a year above her. Ayumi is the girl to the left of Ayane in the group picture above.

Appearance: Ayane could never be described as ugly. Even when not done up in make-up, she still has a natural beauty which can easily be seen. She loves to wear barets, but when she can't she usually either has her hair curled or just in it's naturally straight form. Her hair is dark brown but when it is highlighted by sunlight or artifical light, it can appear a golden, light brown. She has pretty dark brown eyes and an evenly sized nose which matches perfectly with the shape and size of her head. She never goes out of the house without wearing lip gloss, but isn't too keen on lipstick since she found out what it is made out of. She wears a wide variety of clothing however her favourite is dresses. She loves them, short, long, sleeveless, backless- they all look luxurious in her eyes. If she ever goes to a party she will dress in a beautiful, elegant frock. However, outside of parties and formal events, she is inclined to wearing T-shirts and either jeans or a mini/knee skirt.
Personality: Ayane can be mean sometimes in an unintentional way, but thats mostly only because she is annoyed at people who are either too shy or just plain timid and who just need to man up. She thinks of this situation very seriously and isn't afraid of passing on sly remarks about the bigger pussies in their class. Being the eager-to-please girl that she is always happy to help people in a hope that she can fit in, which she puts the troubles at her old school back in the city down to. She is also very judgmental and opinionated and despite not wanting to be, stereotypical. She only dates boys who are attractive and is very flirty, also another attempt to settle in and make friends. She also holds a dark secret that she won't let anybody know. That secret is that she is actually a virgin but she doesn't want to be seen in that light so she does pretend whilst flirting to the likes of Go that she is somewhat of a sex expert, however the truth is obviously opposite to that little lie. When she flirts she sometimes does occasionally go over the top and could easily be seen as being a bit of a slut, however her friends obviously know this isn't the case. She also doesn't really flirt with those she considers friends, however there are exceptions to that rule (maybe).
Strengths:
- Manipulative - Ayane is a manipulative little minx. In a sticky situation she wouldn't think twice about acting, manipulating the other person in to thinking that she is no trouble so that she doesn't end up dead, and her okay-ish reputation in the school adds to her cunning abilities.
- Handy with a knife, trained by her father - Her father has an antique knife collection and trained her how to use one to defend herself if she ever needed.
- Agile - Through her gymnastic training (see below) she has learned how to move her body in very flexible ways almost cat-like. She is also double-jointed (random fact of the day XD)
Weaknesses:
- Would rush in to battle without thinking of consequences - Does what it says on the tin, If she thought her opponent was weak and wouldn't defend themselves she'd charge in like a stampede of cattle and wouldn't pre-analyse any difficulties that may occur.
- Her Mother - The one thing she cared about died three or four years before the Program. Despite the time period she still misses her a lot, for about three years she'd just sit on her bed at night and hug a picture of her and cry herself to sleep. Despite her sharp outer shell inside she's a tearful girl who is close to giving up on love, family and life altogether...

Family:
Mother (Deceased) - Ayumi Yokoyama - A loving mother who did everything she could to protect Ayane, and bring her up properly. Was diagnosed of Breast Cancer approximately a year before her death. Ayumi was the type of mother anybody would be happy to have. Ayane had a fantastic relationship with her mother and it was because of her level of care for her daughters. Ayane was distraught after her death and has never been quite the same academically.
Father - Yutaka Yokoyama - He will do anything to protect his family, even if that involves lying. He kept, on his wifes orders, the cancer a secret from his daughters in order to protect them. Obviously, this backfired on him and he ended up being ignored by both of his daughters for a while, but when he forced Ayane to listen; they reunited and they have been close ever since. He works in the marketplace so he knows most of the islanders. He networks and often has other men (and sometimes women) from around the island round for dinner, because he is a natural good cook... However, Ayane does disagree with that. He is also an avid antique knife collector.
Sister - Matsuko Yokoyama - Aged 12 - Sweet and innocent. Sadly, Matsuko was always a bit of a disappointment to the family after they discovered she suffered from dyslexia, which she has found has always been holding her back. She is the least bright student in her year and because of this she finds it very hard to make friends and she is completely oblivious on the outside world and the bad that happens in it. She is curious, but distrusting. She is also a huge animal lover and takes care of the family dogs. Ayane has an amazingly overbearing relationship with Matsuko. She doesn't like seeing her being bullied and occasionally takes matters in to her own hands. She is overprotective and feels like she is forced to be like a mother-figure to her in order to keep her on the right track, however she does get pretty pissed off at her lack of wanting to learn, even if she needs it more than anyone else in her class.
Dog 1 - Arcanine - Named after the pokemon (obviously). He is the oldest of the two dogs at 8 years old in human years. Matsuko doesn't like him as much because he is a male dog, even if he was carstrated. Hiroki and Ayane have always thought of Arcanine as being the better behaved dog because dog 2 has a tendency to make a mess of the house and be amazingly hyperactive about everything, especially walks!
Dog 2 - Suzuki - Hiroki and Ayane both wanted to keep with the pokemon theme, however Matsuko insisted that the newborn pup would be called Suzuki, for some strange, obscure and random reason. She misbehaves a lot and causes a lot of trouble for Hiroki, who is the one who ends up taking her out for a walk if Matsuko or Ayane are at school, poor guy. =l
Extra-Curricular Activities: Gymnastics - Perhaps the only thing that Ayane is good at and might be interested in, in her future. She attends training three times a week and is not going to give up her amusing activity easily. Her mother kept trying to persuade her through her early childhood to take up gymnastics as a hobby because of it's elegance, but Ayane was having none of that! She refused to wear a leotard and take to the acrobatics so she kept putting it off. However, when her mother died she felt that she wanted to make her proud and felt guilty that she hadn't took up the sport already, so she did hesitantly. Ever since she took up the hobby, she has been unable to stop finding it both thrilling and fun.

Classroom Behaviour: "Other than Physical Education, Ayane isn't a very confident learner. Sometimes I question her ethics and often believe that she is only in school because she has to be and cares more about friendships and popularity than her own education. However, when asked what she wants to do when she is an adult, she is sure of her career choice, a doctor or a nurse. I think setting an outstanding target like this is great for progress, although if she wants to fulfill her dreams then she needs to pick up the pace, and fast, before she gets left behind at the bottom of the class and unrecognised for her academic knowledge. "

Mizumi Akahori: Mizumi and Ayane are friends, mostly. They don't really hang out that often and things can occasionally get awkward; especially when Mizumi misses something that Ayane says and Ayane is too pissed to repeat it. However, Mizumi definitely shows an interest towards Ayane and tends to like it when she starts asking questions and being curious.
Mizuki Abe: When Ayane moved to Neko Island they became quite good friends, if not best friends. When Mizuki's mother died a void was created for a while, as Ayane was unsure of what to do. Ironically, 6 years later Ayane's own mother died which left them in the exact same situation, just reversed positions. Obviously, Mizuki knew how she felt, and since then they have still been good friends. One night, they got smashed out of their heads after a stressful week for Ayane, and they woke up the next morning. The only thing they remember was them making out like lesbians, which was totally hard for Ayane to digest for a while, however now she just accepts it that they were just "experimenting". Ayane does try to block it out of her mind, even if in a way it was kind of cool, because she felt that Mizuki understood her more than most guys do.
Anna Arakida: Anna is kinda weird, and all the juvenile delinquent stuff she does puts Ayane off her. Not only does she look horendously scary and creepy, she smokes and does all the illegal stuff which Ayane doesn't wanna put herself in with. She is sorta the wrong crowd for Ayane. She isn't scared of her, but she does look fucking creepy- lets be honest!
Katsue Itsuma: TBC
Chie Eda: Chie and Ayane use to be okay friends. They were never best buddies or anything, but it all took a major turn for the worst about a year ago. Chie suffered from one of her regular seizures, which she finds highly embarrassing. Ayane rushed to help her and she got really upset and angry about it and they have never been the same since. Ayane tries her hardest to make up for what she thought was the right thing, but she obviously didn't. It's a dodgily awkward between the two of them now.
Etsu Oinuma: Etsu and Ayane consider eachother to be rivals. They started off as friendly acquantainces, and Ayane would sometimes go round her house to play games or just to have fun. However, Etsu's little sister Saki, the same age as Matsuko, began to bully her and this caused the elder sisters to drift apart too. They were both 'protecting' their siblings, and this turned out to be some sort of weird war between them... They reallly don't like eachother, which is funny because they are more alike than they actually think.
Masumi Okamoto: All work and no play leaves for a very boring day. She won't deny that Masumi is a pretty girl, but her being massively conservative would totally bore her to death. That being said, Ayane would still be civil to her and friendly, they just won't be BFF's. Masumi also helps Ayane with her schoolwork and she respects that Ayane wants to become a doctor, which she finds is very nice of her and Masumi wishes Ayane all the luck!
Yurina Kaneko: Yurina and Ayane are generally good freinds. They socialize well together, however the obvious fact of Yurina being some sort of feminist tends to separate them. Ayane sometimes gets embarrassed by her behaviour, especially in public, but they still hang out. The one thing that would make them fall out is when Ayane is being flirtacious and Yurina disapproves, or when Yurina moans and whines about her interaction with guys.
Erika Sekimoto: Erika is very much the girl that Ayane hates everything about. She is a crybaby, and crybabies don't value life enough in her eyes, not to mention all the fucking whining would do her head in. Out of kindness for both her reputation and her friends, she wouldn't publically make this known, but she isn't about to help the bitch if she broke down crying because someone bullied her... Grow a pair girly.
Satsuki Takada: One of Ayane's bestest buddies. Both of them share the bond of a passion for gymnastics. In a good way, they are competitive with eachother, and try their hardest to beat the other in solo competitions, however parts of gymnastics obviously require you to be in a team, so she has had to build up a good friendship with her teammate, so they don't fail!
Aya Nishiyama: Aya and Ayane are good friends. However, back in Junior High, Ayane was too scared to stick up for Aya when she was being picked on by older students, which caused a few arguments between them. This wasn't helped by the fact Makoto totally asked Ayane out instead of her, only to dump him within three weeks. Aya also brings up her mother a lot and this fact really annoys Ayane, but since they are like, neighbours, they bounced back from the downs and have became good friends with eachother. They also have a healthy, competitive rivalry which aids in making them better, even if they both get really competitive over runs and stuff. They also invite eachothers families round for meals, because thats how kind they are!

Shigeru Miyazaki: Ayane is mainly joined with Makoto's feelings towards her. Shigeru is a shemale, and is very weird. Ayane also thinks her parents must be on drugs or something to actually believe they had a son all these years. Other than that, Shigeru tends to avoid Ayane because she is more popular than her, and well to be frank- Ayane is glad she doesn't attract it's attention.
Haruka Yoshida: They use to be best friends, back in the day. But at the same time as her mother died, everyone discovered the nude images that Haruka posted online. Yucky >_< She doesn't like her, not one bit. She makes it known but she won't act on her hatred for the girl; as if she would cause herself and others the trouble of that. She just thinks it's fucking weird that someone like her, a respectable girl, would post naked pictures of herself on the internet where all the predators and dirty old men can see it.

Koshirou Aizawa: TBC
Etsurou Ikeda: Etsurou and Ayane have a bizarre relationship. First of all, Etsurou and Ayane flirt heavily. They actively flirt in school (especially in front of Makoto thanks to Ayane) and sometimes even out of school. Although, if it gets out of hand, or he tries making a move she'd be totally irrational and aggressive about it and would probably end up hitting him or something, bless. Oh Ayane, you're such a tease! They also live opposite eachother, and take it in turns to walk eachothers dogs, occasionally going for walks with eachother. One day about two months before the Program starts, Etsurou was out walking her Shih-Tzu's, and he got bored and accidentally lost Arcanine, much to Ayane's anger and frustration. After searching around the neighbourhood for four hours, they found her hiding in a big bush a few streets away. Ayane continues to flirt with the guy though, because thats how much of a tease she is!
Koda Iwamari: The two don't speak unless they have to. Koda sees Ayane as a bit of a bully, picking on the likes of Erika and Haruka. Ayane knows when she isnt' wanted, and obviously stays out of his way, just to make life a little bit easier.
Yuu Kido: Yuu and Ayane dated, before she went out with Makoto, however the awkwardness soon faded. When she was depressed and really down in the dumps about her mothers untimely death, he cheered her up and since then they've actually been quite good friends. She loves him as a friend, nothing more. She thinks he is genuinely a really funny and nice guy, and his jokes, even though sometimes dumb and silly, always funny. Ayane is also a huge fan of his magic!
Makoto Kokubo: They dated once, but she had to call it off due to her mothers death. This shook her up and thinga were kinda awkward for a while after. However, he obviously understood that it isn't easy losing a parent at any age, especially when you are so young. Now they are actually quite good friends, and he really wants to give her a hug (but she doesn't know this XD). Sometimes they are flirty with eachother, and deep down Ayane loves him more than Takeo, but pride and knowing that he would never love her back and that it was wrong to cheat on Takeo, she keeps this to herself.

Yusuke Hamada: Every now and then, Ayane is unintentionally mean towards Yusuke, however because he is cool he blocks this out. Ayane hangs around with him sometimes, especially when they watch baseball together. Overall, Ayane just feels that he is a pretty cool guy; and is happy to be friends with him. Sometimes though, she finds herself being slightly manipulative towards him, since he is so naive he rarely picks up on this though.

Masaru Hirasawa: Damn that boy. Ever since he dumped Aya by the phone, she has hated him. He probably doesn't think much of her either after the "chat" she had with him the morning after the breakup. Masaru tries to stay away from her, and Ayane is glad of that. She considers herself to be protecting Aya and consistantly mentions that Masaru is nothing but a dodgy and shady character and that Aya is ten times better than him.
Takeo Funaki: Takeo is Ayane's boyfriend. At first, they were just awkward together- and he always tended to back down infront of her. She was kinda iffy about the whole thing but when he asked her out she said yes. Mostly to make Makoto jealous, but also because she thought Takeo was a sweet boy. They are in a good relationship, even if Takeo loves Ayane 50 times more than the other way round. Ayane feels bad for playing with Takeo, but doesn't want to end it, in case his attitude spirals downhill again.
Shirou Yasuda: The fact that he is Etsu's boyfriend is just enough for her to decide what she feels about him. Sometimes, when he is with Etsu, he gives her funny looks; which puts her off him a lot. Ayane tends to get slightly paranoid when it comes to Shirou, as she thinks that Etsu will be spreading shit about her and generally talking her down and bitching her out. However, in all fairness, he hasn't really done anything to make Ayane really dislike him, she just doesn't have very good feelings about him.
