I loved Doctor Who tonight! And yeah I cried my eyes out at the end. lol What is it about the second episode of every season (or half season) that makes me cry? New Earth, The Beast Below, The Rings of Akhaten... All ended with me sobbing my eyes out lol. That said, The Rings of Akhaten is far superior to the other two I mentioned. Wonderful story!

Yay! I thought I was the only one. I was watching and realized, This is like Cabin in the Woods! But when I posted that thought on Twitter, everyone said the episode was horrible so I was expecting some horrible ending which didn't happen. I like Eleven is becoming a little more hard and do wonder...are we heading into Valeyard or something else? I like when the Doctor's dark side is explored.

I heard it wasn't great either so the entire time I was expecting a crappy episode and it never happened. I liked it so much I watched it a second time. I don't get why so many people didn't like it. I thought it was wonderful! Some people were also confused by parts of the story that weren't at all confusing. I question the intelligence of my fellow fans sometimes. I think the larger problem is that they just don't pay attention. My theory is that people just dislike stories that aren't fluffy and that require the audience to invest and actively involve themselves on an emotional or intellectual level. This felt very much like a classic Doctor Who story and that's not a bad thing. Did you spot all the lines of dialogue and story elements that connected to the Clara story arc? Some were a bit subtle because they were well integrated.
