Final Movement: Together

"Pop test today!" Mr. Kamenashi announced happily, smiling at the students' unenthusiastic groans. "I want to hear each of you play individually from the beginning of the piece to rehearsal mark H."

"Individually?!" Yuya shouted out in complaint.

"Come on, Mr. Kamenashi, not on a Monday morning, please?!" various other voices chorused, trying to convince their teacher to avoid the painful experience. Angry whines and yells erupted from the class and Mr. Kamenashi had no choice but to change the assignment.

"Alright, alright," he put up his hands, signaling for the students to calm down. "We'll do small groups instead. Small, no more than ten," he insisted. "Do you want me to assign the groups?"

"No!' everyone began to protest once more.

"Yes..." kei mumbled under his breath. He didn't have anyone to turn to...

Mr. Kamenashi laughed. "Alright, then put yourselves into groups, but choose carefully, it's your grade that's at stake.

Kei sighed as the bustle of students began getting up and moving into groups, he merely sat in his seat, unsure of where to go. He knew but one thing, he wanted to avoid Kota at all costs.

"Kei, do you want to be in a group with us?" Kei turned at the request, sighing in relief to see Chinen standing behind him, gesturing towards a group that consisted of three French horns and three clarinets.

"Oh! Sure, thanks," Kei smiled. "This is going to be some interesting balance, though...' he laughed lightly.

"Would you mind if we joined in to make ten?"

Kei froze, recognizing the voice immediately.

"Sure," Chinen nodded to the Kota and Hikaru who had come up behind Kei.

Kei turned slowly. "Kota..."

"Kei, we need to talk," Kota murmured softly, pulling him aside for a moment. "Remember how I asked you if you believed me when I said I love you? I'm really sorry, but... I realize now that I don't. I can't be with you anymore. I didn't understand it at first, but you were right. I have fallen for Hikaru. I'm so sorry.."

"So we're over?" Kei guessed.

Kota nodded slowly.

"It's all right.. I kind of knew already," Kei admittedly sadly. "But.. can we still be friends... please?" he asked weakly.

"Please," Kota repeated back. "And can I ask one last favor of you?"

Kei nodded.

"Would you let me hold you one last time..?"

Nebulous sorrow had clouded the older boy's eyes, guilt perspicuous in his gaze. Kei reached out and wrapped his arms around Kota instead.

"I'm sorry," Kota whispered, his voice trembled as he spoke.

Kei tightened his embrace, pulling away only to smile gently. "It's okay, as long as you're happy, I am."

Kei had never known a smile could be so painful. A single tear shimmered as it fell from Kota's eyes, a final drop of their love, gone.

"It's okay," Kei repeated, wiping at the fresh tears forming in the older boy's eyes. "Don't cry, because then you won't be happy."

Daiki smiled at the head of the line, and he pulled Ryutaro's hand into his own, nodding at him as they were about to step into the examination room.

Ryutaro turned for a mere second to nod to Yuya, but right after, Daiki pulled his attention back forward.

Yuya then passed the nod to Ryosuke, standing beside him, as he placed his arm around the younger boy's waist.

Ryosuke then blushed madly before turning to nod at Yuto.

Yuto smiled and nodded at Keito, poking his gently at his side while he did.

Keito gave a little laugh, and then turned to nod at Chinen.

Chinen answered with a wide grin, and then nodded at Kei, giving the older boy a surprise peck on the cheek quickly, before turning away, darkening pink glowing on his own countenance.

Kei was caught off his guard, shocked, but a soft smiled spread across his lips. He turned to Kota on his other side, and he nodded slowly.

Kota smiled warily, but turned to Hikaru and nodded.

Hikaru laughed happily and put his arm across Kota's shoulders.

"Is everyone ready?" Daiki grinned from the front. Nine nods answered his two-worded question.

"Alright, let's go!"

A/N: Kind of a short last chapter, but it leaves a lot of unanswered endings, so as to let you imagine for yourself what the future holds for our wonderful musicians! X3 Thanks to everyone for reading!!  hehe it got to be kind of a long fic... XD  Also, i am REALLY sorry I went on like a mini hiatus the last week or so.. it was a big exam week at our school (there's another one next month! ><) so I studied in every spare second I had! =__= ahh now that that's over, I am back! lol XD I will try my best to catch up on everything, but if I don't get to it soon, I'm sorry!! :( Now that this fic has ended, I'm working on a new one! Ooh for my fic requested by  koigaii , I think I may end up making that fic a oneshot like I think you had originally planned, because I think it may be better that way.. I'm still thinking about it..  XD I'm also considering doing fics for other johnny's groups, in order to change it up a little ^^  I'm open to most of them... I  listen to arashi, kat-tun, news, kanjani8, etc, in addition to JUMP, so feel free to make suggestions! :)
