~Ai~

Yuri Chinen had always looked up to Ryosuke Yamada. Ryosuke seemed to always carry this certain aura of coolness about him, one that made Chinen completely fall head-over-heels in awe and admiration of him. To Chinen, Ryosuke always managed to do anything and everything, and do it well, with style, grace, dignity and talent, rightfully earning him the title of most popular member within the group.

However, no matter how cool, calm and collected Ryosuke appeared on stage, behind the cameras, Chinen knew he could always depend on Ryosuke to make him laugh, make him smile, and make him happy.

Tantalizingly charismatic, Ryosuke was both kind and hilarious to hang out with.

So when Ryosuke suddenly came up beside Chinen after the penultimate concert on their TEN JUMP tour, Chinen was brimming with enthusiasm as Ryosuke informed him, “The director has asked for me and you to specially come out after the last show tomorrow night and give a final shout-out to the fans!”

Chinen’s eyes lit up upon hearing their names being mentioned together, as if he were just as good as Ryosuke, just as loved, just as amazing, just as famous.

“Cool! That’s awesome!” Chinen grinned happily at his friend.

“Yeah, it sounds like it’s going to be really fun, right?” Ryosuke nodded as his ever-adorable smile grew. “But I was thinking, what should we say?” Ryosuke inquired as Chinen put a finger to his own face, squishing his cheek as he pondered.

“Hmm… I’m having trouble thinking of anything aside from the usual ‘You guys are the best!’ and ‘Thank you so much for coming!’, you know what I mean?” Chinen scrunched his nose in annoyance at his own meager creativity.

“That’s okay, Chinen,” Ryosuke comforted his conflicted friend. “I was thinking, maybe we could say…” Ryosuke swung his head from side to side, looking around to make sure the two of them were alone, as if he were about to reveal a dark, hidden secret.

Leaning in closer to his younger friend, Ryosuke whispered into Chinen’s ear, “I love you.”

~~~
I love you… Ryosuke’s husky voice echoed relentlessly in Chinen’s mind. He couldn’t seem to forget the chills that had run down his spine as he heard the three words escaping from his friend’s luscious lips.
Shutting his eyes as he laid down in bed, Chinen tried to push away the thoughts that were beginning to cloud his mind. The way Ryosuke spoke, it seemed as if he was speaking to me, as if the words were meant only for my ears to hear. It did not seem like the casual suggestions that I had made…
His words, his tone… How can I describe it? It was practically… seductive… almost sexy…
“WHAT AM I THINKING!!??” Chinen yelped, jumping up immediately as soon as the thought crossed his mind.
No way… Ryosuke, he wouldn’t… No… I’ve got to get this off my mind…
Drifting back into slumber, Chinen had no idea how hard it would be to listen to his own words.
~~~

The next morning, Chinen awoke with a start, the feeling of something wet pressed against his neck and a heavy weight draped over his body, making him groan as he slowly blinking open his eyes.

“Ryosuke…? What are you- WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!!??”

Realizing what was happening, Chinen immediately shoved Ryosuke off his bed, wiping the remnants of his lips off his collarbone.

“What the heck do you think you’re doing?!” Chinen squeaked as Ryosuke stood up and recomposed himself calmly. Chinen’s eyes widened as the older boy then started to approach him once more, first reaching his bedside, then climbing onto his bed, crawling towards him, his face leaning in until Chinen could feel Ryosuke’s hot breath against his face as he gently coaxed, “Come on, Chinen, I know you want this.”

Before Chinen could even protest, Ryosuke smashed his lips against Chinen’s, and began kissing him sloppily, running his fingers through Chinen’s tousled hair.

At first, Chinen fought back, wanting to push him away, but somehow, he soon found himself aroused by Ryosuke’s kisses and began allowing the older boy to slide his lips over his own. He even welcomed Ryosuke’s hand as it traced down his torso and found its way under his shirt.

The feeling of Ryosuke’s hands gently caressing his bare chest sent more chills down Chinen’s spine and he instinctively shuddered.

Ryosuke smirked against the kiss, “You like this, don’t you?”

Chinen couldn’t find the voice to reply, he simply nodded, whimpering as their lips lost contact. This all felt so wrong, so immoral, so disgusting, but Chinen didn’t care. He begged for more. He even took pleasure in knowing that regardless of his guilty conscience, Ryosuke had wanted him even more.

Ryosuke then began to draw kisses down Chinen’s throat, all the way down to his neck once more. As he rediscovered the soft spot in Chinen’s collarbone, he began to caress it with his lips, licking and sucking at his friend’s soft, reddening skin.

Chinen moaned inexplicably, cries of lust and passion erupting from his body that he had never heard before. Scared at hearing himself making such foreign noises, Chinen immediately clamped his hands over his mouth.

Ryosuke laughed lightly at his coyness. “Don’t,” he said, pulling Chinen’s hands back down. “I want to hear you loving me.”

Without waiting for Chinen to answer, Ryosuke suddenly bit down on his collarbone, and Chinen shrieked.

Springing up in bed, panting hard, Chinen woke up in a cold sweat. He found himself alone in his bed, his alarm clock blaring at him to get up.

It was all a dream? He wondered in disbelief. How did Ryosuke invade my dreams?! Why did I even think about him like… like th-THAT?!” Chinen shouted in his mind, fearing of his own unconscious thoughts.

Shaking his head furiously, Chinen refused to let any thoughts of Ryosuke trespass his mind any further.

~~~
“You ready?” Ryosuke smiled encouragingly as Chinen nodded, his eyes turned to the floor as soon as the real Ryosuke had addressed him.
“You remember what to say, right?” Ryosuke asked, wondering whether Chinen was feeling all right.
Another nod.
“You okay, Chinen?” he questioned concernedly.
Another nod.
“Okay then…” Ryosuke bit his lip worriedly. “Well, come on, it’s time to go!” he smiled, pulling Chinen back toward the entrance of the stage.
“Chinen!” Ryosuke greeted as soon as he had stepped out.
“Yes?” Chinen answered, remembering to force himself to smile with pretend happiness.
“Because it’s our last show, let’s say something!” Ryosuke suggested, smiling innocently.
Chinen agreed as part of their staged message. Ryosuke then sidestepped over closer to Chinen and the younger boy following suit.
“We love you~” they grinned widely, waving their final goodbyes as the camera zoomed in for a close up on their faces. One was emulating pure excitement, contentment and cheer, while the other was a hollow shell imitating the same expression.
Right before he walked back offstage, Ryosuke turned around and blew a cute kiss to the audience. Again, Chinen followed along, like a robot obeying his master’s example. But then again, Ryosuke had no real power controlling over him… did he? The mere thought of his dream made Chinen shudder.
“Chinen, are you sure you’re feeling okay?” Ryosuke’s worried voice appeared from behind.
“Y-Yes!” Chinen immediately replied, scared of having Ryosuke show any care or tenderness toward him. As soon as he said this, though, he regretted it. After knowing Ryosuke for so many long years, there was no way his friend wouldn’t notice he was obviously lying.
“I mean… no,” Chinen sighed. “I-I just… I’m just… confused, is all,” he admitted miserably.
“About what?” Ryosuke asked him softly, turning Chinen around to face him.
“I-I think I…”
“Chinen’s what’s wrong?” Ryosuke’s expression suddenly turned serious, his brow furrowed with worry and his deep brown eyes filled with concern.
“I-I… I think…” Chinen mentally kicked himself for sounding so stupid.
Spit it out already! If you’re going to say it, say it NOW!
“I think I love you!” Chinen burst out, covering his ears from his own foolish confession.
No… No, this wasn’t supposed to happen… How could I possibly love Ryosuke?! What am I doing?!
Ryosuke stood shock-still, his heart aching, seeing the little boy before him cry out his admission in such anguish.
“Chinen… put your hands down…” he smiled sweetly, touched by his friend’s confession. Slowly, he pulled Chinen’s soft, tiny hands into his own; his adorable friend’s face was now blushing feverishly.
“Don’t be afraid,” Ryosuke whispered, placing Chinen’s hands on the warmth of his own chest. “I think I… I love you, too.”
