Summary: This is a drabble based on a dream I had about TVXQ's first performance together after reuniting. YunJae has a surprise ending for the fans~
kiss and make up
They were nervous, to say the least. Fans from all over the world watched with baited breath as Tohoshinki stepped onto the stage. They had announced they would be performing their new song at a live event and as rumors swirled that Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu had reconciled with SM Entertainment, tension was high as thousands of people waited to see with their own eyes if the rumors were true.
The five members walked to their places, faces solemn and grim. It wasn’t the expression fans had been hoping for. But as the music started, Jaejoong looked up and smiled, melting the hearts of girls around the globe.
They didn’t dance, not really, just started singing as if it was a ballad and not a catchy pop song that made bodies want to sway to the rhythm.
As each one of their voices entered, the worry that the rift between the members themselves dissolved. Even if they were reunited as a group, if the damage to their friendship was permanent, all the singing in the world wouldn’t console the hearts of the fans.
The energy of the performance jumped to new heights during the first chorus and they started dancing, a unified wave of movement filled with joy and enthusiasm that hadn’t been seen from the five beautiful boys in months.
Junsu broke free from the formation and approached the end of the stage, singing to the fans, his smile glorious and infectious.
Yoochun followed him when it was time to sing his lines, the other three repeating the dance moves as they sang the background harmony. They stood together, Yoochun’s arm around Junsu’s shoulder, Junsu’s arm around Yoochun’s waist until the crowd went wild, screaming as Changmin pushed between them, snaking an arm around both of their shoulders as they clung to his waist.
The bass thrummed as Yunho and Jaejoong continued dancing, stopping only to face each other and sing the same lines, Jaejoong’s lines, but Yunho wouldn’t let him sing alone. The fever of the hall reached a state where reality blurred fantasy and fans prayed they were really awake and that their prayers had been answered.
Tohoshinki, Dong Bang Shin Ki, their five most beloved boys were back and better than before.
They regrouped in the middle of the stage, jumping and dancing, looking completely at home as they did what they did best, entertained.
A deafening roar of panic emerged from the crowd as the song ended. The fans needed more, more than just three and a half minutes of pure bliss.
“Wow, that was amazing,” the host of the Japanese show said, approaching the boys.
But their comeback moment wasn’t about to be disturbed. Changmin hugged Jaejoong, crushing him before letting him go and handing him off to Yunho so he could help Junsu comfort Yoochun’s happy tears.
Jaejoong was all smiles even as Yunho lifted him up in a hug. Having lifted him too high, Yunho let Jaejoong slide down into his arms, television and fan cameras watching as Jaejoong kissed Yunho’s forehead.
And then the side of his nose near Yunho’s eye.
And right before his feet hit the ground, their lips met as Yunho held him, a lingering open mouthed peck that could never be waved off as a friendly show of affection or an accidental brush. Their smiles afterward had given away their love. YunJae had kissed on television as if they had been alone with no one watching, adoring each other with their eyes even as the host tried to gather the five up for an interview.
Dong Bang Shin Ki Reunites was the official press release as pictures and video clips surfaced online in a matter of hours, reaching the corners of the earth before SM or Avex even had a chance to issue a statement about the kiss. Fans didn’t even care what politically correct reason the entertainment companies would devise to explain the kiss, because no matter what they said, the fans knew the truth.
YunJae is real.

The image of YunJae kissing was so vivid that I had to share it, I wish I could draw, but I only have words to try and describe it for you. I hardly ever dream about them so my heart is still warm and happy from my dream. ^^
