...because I have been posting other people's work a lot lately. So on that note, here is an article that I just read that poses an interesting position on the word "Hero" and how it is overused these days to the point that it has almost lost its meaning. Enjoy, if you choose to read it.

agreed. pride & heroism are 2 different things. you can be proud of someone who joins a service & goes to a war, but it takes someone special to say run out & distract an enemy while your platoon gets away. heroism has been cheapened much like love has. both words should be used more sparingly than they have in recent year, but they continue to be overused & thusly depreciated.
