That happened to me at Walgreen once years ago. I was told I couldn't copy a photo that was taken of my mom and I at the Horicon Ledge when I was 3 because the picture looked like it was staged and the trees weren't real or some shit. I cried yelled pitched a fit and told them if my sick cancer ridden mother died never having seen that photo blown up to 8x10 size I would sue them just cause this is America and I could!

It didn't work I had to have my cousin blow up the photo and print it for me. Bastards. While I can understand the logic and the reasoning for this I still say to hell with them if I take the picture then I should be able to print it!

I know right! In my opinion, it's up to me, the customer, to make sure I'm not printing copyrighted material, not the store's. Because if there is a lawsuit, I'll be the one in trouble, not them. Ugh!

There were lawsuits though years back when photo printers first came on the market at stores where the real pro photographers were suing say Walgreens and WalMart because they allowed copyright infringment on there machines. This is America everyone sues everyone for every reason.

Yea...and I mean I do get why they can't copy certain pictures, but the fact is that my photo was not copyrighted and didn't have any information suggesting that it WAS copyrighted (like a watermark or digital marking), and they made me feel like a criminal for trying to print it. If they hadn't spoken to me like I was trying to break the law, I wouldn't be so upset with them.

It just pisses me off because I have had many professional pictures taken and I'm not stupid enough to try and get those printed. But yet the uncopyrighted photos, I can't get.
