How is it that no one on LJ knows what a marriage license is? Jesus Pizza! There's the two of us, then .....

It is interesting that the majority of the population doesn't realize you need a license to get married...
On a related note, I read an article recently proposing that marriage should need to be legally renewed after 10 years, and if it is not renewed then the people become legally separated. Interesting thought, but I'm glad it didn't go any farther than an editorial article!

I think we should have to renew our death certificates every 5 years. If we don't renew them, then we must legally be alive.
