Just a hypothetical question

If one were to, say, write something on a white Hummer using a Sharpie, how difficult would that be to remove?

No reason for asking of course, other than curiosity. ;-)

i dunno about sharpie *snickers* but i know there's no fault at all in a disabled person *cough* "accidentally" running into a hummer while having mysterious "steering" problems. and we all know how easily wheelies can .. err .. scrape things.

*cough* by accident of course.

Probably about as difficult as taking a large sticker off the windshield of a car that was repeatedly parking illegally in the handicapped spot....

rubbing alcohol or acetone anonymous June 19 2005, 01:47:58 UTC
Hi Ayesha! it's dirtgirl here...

If a surface is non-porous, a solvent such as rubbing alcohol or acetone (major ingredient in nail-polish remover) will remove Sharpie ink relatively easily. I would think that the paint job on a Hummer would be non-porous, but i'm not 100% sure the solvent wouldn't damage the paint a tiny little bit.
