Project wardrobe x2 fabric, accessories and resources
Here's the green brocade I plan to use for the first new version of patrician class venetian gown. There are several pieces of this in varying sizes as it was given to me by a friend who had gotten it as left over set dressing. 
I have 10 yards of the red and gold (the colors of Venice!) which I purchased in Vancouver, Canada's little India a few years ago with the intention of making a Venetian gown out of it. I hope I have enough left to possibly make a matching gown for the 10 yr old girlchild, and perhaps even a doublet for my beloved.
The black and gold is one of the first fabrics I purchased when I started figuring out more about Venetian styles and textiles. I probably payed way to much for it, but couldn't resist getting enough for a gown because it was the first fabric I had seen that looked like it could have walked out of one of vecellio's wood cuts. As a result I've been afraid to cut it. It's going to be the third dress I make after really dialing in the style and fit with the other two. I don't plan to make three copies of the same dress in different fabrics, I need to decide which will be closed front, and which will be V front.
I may need to rework this bodice and skirt, but I think it's nearly there. I've just had a baby and changed shape a bit since I started this. The skirt is lined with a matching green linen.
I had bought some silk years ago with the intention of making myself a chemise/ camica but one doing further research I decided to go with linen instead. I may use this for lining a partlet, &/ or make myself a camisa anyway- I just love silk.
For one of my warmer weather working class outfits I want to use this plum linen, it's much deeper in tone in real life than it looks in the picture. I just have to decide what color bias trim to use- I'm thinking something lighter, or brighter for balance.
I found this at pastiche- they said it was a silk ribbon, which having been stitched into a lattice work pattern will be perfect for a partlet.
I made the smaller bun with four small braids and real cultured pearls first, followed by the larger one with some nice glass pearls. I've got to possibly rework if not replace at least the smaller one and look into either creating "rats" with my saved hair, or with faux pieces from the hair shop at B&I.
