Nicely done. (Still shivering about Pelant....)

I'm glad it worked for you. As for Pelant, yeah, he's pretty creepy, and for me it isn't even about the story-line and his magical-genius computer skills. It's the guy himself. He's just ... ick.

You did a great job on this as always. I could picture this happening in the season premier. I just hope that Hart and co. do as good a job as you have done with this.

I'm looking forward to more on this from you. Can't wait to see how you deal with Booth finally making Pelant pay for what he did to his family, maybe with Max's help.

Please continue with this. It makes great bedtime reading material.

Those are kind words indeed. Thank you. I'm not sure I'm going to tackle Pelant's downfall, but I'll keep it in mind. Max would be helpful in that, wouldn't he. I wonder if TPTB will bring him in on the upcoming manhunt - because surely there has to be a manhunt for Pelant at some point, right?

Will there be more, will there be more?!

I liked thinking Max was being tricky in not telling her she should go home but then discovering Booth was in on it. Loved their reunion!

lol - Greedy, much?

And no. Probably not. I had to write this one in order to get into the right headspace for the case fic I'm working on. Now that it's done, I think I'll let other, more talented authors, take it from here.

Max can indeed be a very crafty man. It makes him interesting to write.

Oh yeah - I can totally see this happening! Max is sneaky and he would pull out all the stops for Brennan- no question! I like how you show Brennan's agony- and her empathy about how Booth must feel.

And yes, I think Booth would have wanted her to stay out of reach and not told her about the arrest warrant. But he would have been conflicted because he misses her and the baby so much.
story, as always!

Max is totally sneaky, and he would do anything to protect his daughter up to and including murder, as we already know. Nobody messes with Temperance Brennan and gets away with it.

Kind of makes me hope for Booth's sake that he and Brennan never break up. :)

I really, really like this. I like the tension, I like that Max and Bren and Booth are all, in their own ways, from their own perspectives, trying to do what's best to keep everyone safe, not telling anyone quite everything. Really nice work throughout.

Right. Um. We chatted about this already, but I'm so very glad you liked the story. I know you aren't much of a Max fan, and I wondered how you would react. Thank you for your kind review. As always, I appreciate your thoughtful response to my work.
