Whenever I try to explain to people what it is about Bones that I’ve come to miss over the past couple of years, I feel like I fall short. Today I found something that does a far better job of explaining what I want back than I ever could. Check out

There's a distinct lack of urgency and longing and connection.
The lack of longing I sort of understand. Maybe the lack of urgency, too.
A lack of HOLDING ON to each other, a lack of depth in their feelings and expression of same.
This, though. This I totally agree with. There's no connection. They might as well be two strangers who happen to live in the same house and work together on a regular basis. In some ways it's almost creepy.
Emily used to just reduce me to mush with her eyes and the pain and self-denial behind them. And that's...missing.
What I don't get, is why is it missing? Is it by HH and company's choice? Or by hers? Is the rumor that it ties back to DB's philandering true? Or was there some kind of bizarre creative decision behind it?
Now, Brennan has gotten a lot less desperate and lost...but that urgency for the victims, and to keep things from falling apart, and to be her brash self...it's ( ... )

Stop making them bland! I want my Brennan and Booth back! And I don't want just acceptance- I want real togetherness! I want Booth to admit that he loves Brennan MORE than he loved Hannah- at least Bones had the guts to tell him how she felt even if he was still with Hannah. I hate feeling that he is with Bones by default- Hannah left so ok I'll be with Brennan now.
Sorry - still have a little anger over that "Hannah" season. I think they just tried to hard to keep them apart for too long.
