This is the winter from hell

And no, not because of the weather, which has been unusually mild. It's because my family just can not seem to get healthy. Since the first week of December there hasn't been a day when more than one or two members of my family has been healthy simultaneously. Here we are mid January, and even now three out of four of us are sick. It's all

What we could really use is a hard, cold, snowy winter. There is an old saying (yes, I am old and I have said it) that a warm winter means a full cemetery. I am very sorry to hear about your family's health issues and will keep you all in my prayers.

Oh! I used to know that saying. I'd forgotten all about it. Yes, then. Can we please, please pretty please have a blizzard? Maybe even more than one? Let's freeze all these hateful little bugs right out of existence.

I'd never heard that saying, but I've known for ages that a warm winter means that people get SICK all the TIME...and that the insects will be super-numerous next summer.

There's a couple of viruses going around with very similar symptoms to the flu that are not flu-related. Unfortunately, that's why so many people think the flu shot isn't working. It's apparently working well...but Flu Impostor Virus is hitting hard, too.

As for flu imposter virus, it needs to go die in a fire, because me and mine have had quite enough of its shenanigans, thank you very much.

Don't you know that the companies that make tissues and cold meds are loving this mess, though.
