So I just had the last conversation with Jeremy I expect to have, ever. He doesn't want his welding helmet. Apparently it has some broken part. He has sent off my things in the mail, although not with our bank account

Because she's the girl he cheated on me two springs back and I just got to being friendly with her when she spilled the beans, so to speak. ^_^

Now to the practical matters. Have you worked out how he is going to be getting child support to you?

I haven't gone to the attorney general's office yet. I'm a little overwhelmed by all the housework and other things I'm having to do to stay here - like getting rid of my dog.

You didn't establish child support before he left? That might be problematic in the future. I take it that you could not stay where you were and there is no chance of getting a place that will allow you and Abstract?

It's not like he gave me any notice and I've been busy every day with other things - like medical, food, school funding, etc.

No, I can't keep Abstract and I don't have money to go anywhere. I gave him up at the SPCA. They agreed that he was adoptable - passed all of their temperament, aggression, dog friendliness, and health tests with flying colors! They'll do background tests, in home visits, and neighbor interviews because he's a full bred pit bull. I did the best for him that I could and I'm sad, but I feel good about it.
