So I am belatedly curious (it's been in my to-read pile for a while, sue me) how many slices you might estimate that recipe makes? Because I ran the recipe through calorie-count and came up with:

calories: 3521
total fat: 321.6g
total carb: 106.5g
dietary fiber: 18.2g
protein: 102.3g

All of which should be regarded as ridiculously over-precise numbers (that don't really add up right, either, go figure), but still. I like the approximate breakdown, say 80% calories from fat (!), and about 10% each from protein and carbs. Still, it made me wonder what one slice is like because I am a big freak about the carbs aren't I.

Dude, I hear you. I'm personally in carb freak out mode, where I'm just pissed that I really can't even eat strawberries, so then I eat some strawberries.

Anyway. I'd estimate the loaf itself makes around 12 slices of bread. The problem is, it's so damned good it's kind of a trigger food for me.

So, 12 slices... you know what, though, I think your fiber count has to be off. *goes to get almond butter jar*

Yeah... see, the almond butter I use (Trader Joe's unsalted) has 252 g fat, 84 g carbs and 42 g fiber. That's obviously not including the 1/2 cup of squash, but yeah. Way more fiber than your numbers.

Protein in my jar is 112 g.
