Regency neck ruffs
This is my first attempt to make a neck ruff, it is completely hand stitched. Floriade 2012
A few of us ventured forth to see the flowers at Canberra's "Floriade" yesterday for the one day without rain over the long weekend. We danced a few minuets under the trees away from the "boom boom" music and attempted to walk around sanely whilst having Asian tourists stop us regularly for photos.

I'm looking for pictures of sleeve puffs for inspiration for my 1780s gown. The only picture I can find is this low resolution one, and I'd love to find some larger ones. Does anyone know of any?

Blogging again...
I've been blogging again. It is so much easier to manage photos in the blogger interface. Generally I keep my chat and cries for help to live journal, but when I want to store my research and costume pictures I do it on my blog. -
End of the weekend and Fathers Day
Yesterday I spoke about Regency fashion at the Georgette Heyer group but forgot to get a photo taken, so when we got home Alcuin took a photo of me. I wore my crazy hat so I could leave it on and still hear myself and everyone's questions. I go a little deaf in my bonnets and probably talk a little loud. Losing weight is not always fun...
As I said in the header, losing weight is not always fun - it can bring despair and hope at the same time, tinged with a sense of desperation. I have a large overflowing bag of costumes I can no longer wear and hardly any that fit remain. I'm getting back on track
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel at last. The house is feeling better, the filing cabinet is nearly all dried out and I've cleared out heaps of clothes and costumes from the wardrobe. Will have to invite friends over to brainstorm what to do with all the costumes that are now too large for me to wear.

Regency Spencer - looking for images
I am looking for images of regency spencers that have a straight closing front, no overlap - so hook and eye or toggles at the front and a round neck without a collar. Very similar to the one below.
