i'm always obsessed with decorating until i burn out, or get accustomed to my space being the way it is. it seems there's this key window of time in which i still care about that stuff, and then i just get used to things the way they are and don't want to change them. hmm.

shay let me borrow her "queer eye" book, which has some really helpful info about the use of space, color, design, etc. i've yet to try it out, but the advice is good.

It looks like a very comfortable and warm home.

perhaps something inside of you needs the sparse-ness and that sort-of emptiness. i dont know, but i think your room looks perfect.

wow.
there they are...
two of the photographs i've given you.
those are from *so long ago!
this is like the first time it really registered with me that i have some kind of presence in the homes of people who have photographs of mine.

do me a favor?
measure the distance from your mattress to your ceiling.
and that wallspace that's in the photo above to the right of your bed...
how long is that from the corner of your room to the next Thing on or against your wall?
i have an idea on how i could help contribute to your effort to decorate...

*wheels turning*

maybe i'm super slow but i can't tell exactly what you want me to measure. the distance from mattress to ceiling is 69 inches. but what other part?

okay.
the corner of the room as seen in the photo...
the distance from that corner, in the direction of towards the photographer's left, alongside the long edge of the bed...
from that corner in that direction...
how much space exists to the nearest "thing" on the wall? or against the wall?

btw...
69 vertical inches is fucking huge.
your room is an artist friend's dream come true!
