Jaejun swerved a corner before turning off the car engine after aligning it in the car park. Reluctantly alighting the comfortable confines of her vehicle, her heeled shoe stepped upon the soil of the temporary car park. She placed her sunglasses a top of her head, taking in a lungful of crisp cool air. It felt good. She was glad for the fact that they were shooting this movie mainly at the countryside. Their set had been built from scratch, constructing a miniature village consisting of a few houses. It would have blended in well rest of the neighboring villages sans the filming equipment. Nonetheless, the set was picturesque. Not to mention that the lack of fans, something that was welcomed after having years of fans shrieking atop of their lungs. The locals from neighboring villages had somewhat a gist about what was going on yet they were not bold enough to come to the set and placate their curiosity.

Despite the benefits of their location and whatnot, Jaejun help but lament about the fact that the movie was probably not going to be hit due the disruption in the casting. However, the thoughts of the new cast member was not the only trouble that was flooding her head, it was in fact the week she had taken off to spend with her family. Her family. Kim Heechul and Kim Kyuhyun. Two younger siblings. Two very pestering, troublesome yet lovable younger siblings. She had presumed that by taking the week off, she would be able to relax, spend some quality time with her sister and brother, perhaps go to the beach or watch a movie but, no, nothing ever went according to plan. In fact, the opposite usually happened. She had come home only to find Heechul and boy making out furiously in the living room and Kyuhyun nowhere to be found. After quickly getting rid of the Heechul's boyfriend and finding Kyuhyun return home with a cut lip and a bruise on his cheek, Jaejun had switched on her mother-hen mode. She had lectured Heechul on the dangerous of dating so many boys and told Kyuhyun to become a bolder, fiercer person so a to fend off school bullies. After taking care of domestic affairs such as confiscating Heechul's handphone for a week and talking to Kyuhyun's teachers, she did get to relax for a day or two however that did not stop her from fretting over the fact that after she'd be busy with work, who was going to keep these kids in check? There was only so much their guardian, Hankyung could do. Hankyung. That reminded Jaejun to thank him again when she met him. Hankyung had been a family friend who had taken care of the three siblings when their parents had passed away in a car crash until one of them could fend for all three.

With all these burdening thoughts in her mind, Jaejun stepped into the set, greeting the director who was instructing the prop boys. The director smiled and bowed in return, quickly shooing her away to her trailer to get her make-up done.

Jaejun continued to brood as her stylist hovered around her, caking her face with make-up. A brush here and dab there. Sometimes, she felt like a canvas sheet instead of a human being. They painted her until she became a human doll. These fake colours, this fake perfection often hid her true beauty. That natural luminescent glow would disappear, the slight marks, the moles that made her who she was disappear as well. However, this was her job, the job of putting on a fake facade and fooling the audiences with fake emotions.

“The gloomy cloud above your head certainly doesn't match the weather outside,” A bouquet of bright yellow Bermuda Buttercups were shoved under her nose. Startled, she glanced upwards at the owners of hands which held the flowers. Her gaze was met with a suave, youthful looking young man. His hair was spiked up at odd angles, chocolate eyes that seemed to draw one within and that killer smile that suddenly brightened the surroundings. Who was this guy? She had never seen him before on the set. A fan perhaps? Well, he was a handsome fan at least.

She blinked her eyes a couple of times before grasping onto the flowers and giving a hesitant smile to the man.

“Jung Yunho,” The man extended his hand to Jaejun, his killer smile plastered to his face all the while. It was then a light bulb in Jaejun's head lit up as she finally snapped out of though-induced reverie and took the man's hand in a handshake.

“Kim Jaejun,” She answered back, her smile less hesitant.

“I know,” Yunho said, taking a seat in the chair next to hers, “I can't believe that I'm finally meeting you! I have watched all your movies you know! Dangerous love, Vacation, Heaven Postman...all of them! I am so glad I have finally met you and now to be able to work alongside with you, it's like a dream come true!” So, Jaejun's initial impression of Yunho hadn't been completely wrong, this man was indeed a fan and now, he was a cast mate. She had to stifle her giggles as she watched the blabbering fool. This man seemed to be slowly charming her. However, the question was, was this man going to charm her through his acting skills? This was yet to be known.

“Well then, I better be off, make-up and costume jazz, you know,” He said as he got up from the chair, “See you at the set!” He called over his shoulder, giving a little wave as he exited her trailer.

Jaejun didn't notice her heart thumping just a little louder.

-

“What brings you here, sir?” Hana asked, swiping the sweat that dripped from her forehead.

“I'm Hyo, I'm sure your father had told you about me and why I have come,” Hyo replied, smiling down at the girl.

“Hyo-shii! It's you! Do...do come in,” Hana exclaimed, excitement seeping into her voice as she wildly gestured toward the house behind her as they stood at the porch talking since Hana had been tending to the garden in front of the house before Hyo's arrival.

Hyo showed off his pearly white teeth as he smiled once again, following Hana into the house.

“...And cut!” The director called once the two of them had reached inside the house.

“That was a good shot...now, the next shot would be...” The director trailed off as he started to file through papers and scripts to prepare for the next shot. Hyunki put down the papers once again and trotted over to the camera to watch the scene once again, wondering if the actors would have to react or not before they started on the next shot.

“You played Hana's role very well, I love the way you captured her emotions!” Yunho commented as Jaejun and he were being led out of the house by their stylists who wished to re-adjust their costumes and make-up before the next shot.

“Thank you, Yunho-shii. You played Hyo's cocky role very well too,” Jaejoong smiled at Yunho, who seemed over the moon after getting a compliment from his favourite actress. Jaejun wanted to chuckle at his gleeful expression however controlled her laughter in.

It was true. She had been proved wrong. She hadn't expected Yunho to capture Hyo's character in such a short amount of time. The previous male lead had required a full month to get in touch with his character and here, Yunho was able to pull off his character well just a week of practice. Sure, given that Yunho managed to make 3 NGs within 2 shots however the intensity at which Yunho captured the character's emotions was admirable.

Jaejun's chain of thoughts were broken as her stylist ushered her to a seat so that she could adjust her hair. Jaejun cast Yunho a shy smile as she saw him being dragged away in a similar fashion. She knew that this guy was the one that she had look out for, a newbie actor. Filming could really mess with people's head sometimes. The tight schedules, interviews, photo-shoots, crazy fans and dancing to everyone's tunes and whims. Filming could be a arduous process and not to mention emotionally draining as well and Jaejun felt compelled to take Yunho under her wing.

-

“Dinner?” Yunho waggling his eyebrows as he handed Jaejun her jacket. It was already 9 and it was freezing. Puffs of air were visible in dark night as everyone breathed out. Lights were being switched off and you could hear the machines whirring down to a stop. Jaejun rubbed her hands together after Yunho had helped her into her jacket. It was starry night, the moon was full and Yunho looked downright sexy being bathed in the moonlight.

“So...as I was saying...dinner? I know this fabulous place nearby.” He said putting on his own jacket.

“I'd love to but...” Jaejun began but her protest was cut halfway as Yunho shot her the most pitiful puppy eyes.

“No buts. My treat, of course,” Yunho continued to bribe her and put on display of absolute pouting. This time Jaejun laughed outright. She didnt know such grown men could pull off such childish antics so convincingly.

“What?” Yunho exclaimed in mock-hurt. This caused more peals of laughter to escape those sweet lips. 'Target achieved' Yunho thought haughtily. The trill of laughter soothed his heart. Such tinkling, melodious laughter only match up such a beautiful face and an equally beautiful personality.

“Please, please!” Yunho begged.

“Alright...alright...” Jaejun finally agreed.

They had only taken a few steps ahead when Jaejun paused and put her hand on Yunho's arm, “Wait, what about my car?” She asked.

“Dont worry, it would still here tomorrow morning. I'll drive you home,” Yunho assured her.

“How am I going to come here tomorrow then?” She questioned once again.

“Your driver is forever at your service, m'am,” Yunho said and proffered his arm out to Jaejun, who chuckled in return and smacked his arm.

-

Dinner had been an uneventful occasion. A light conversation and jokes between the two. As the two made their way out of the cozy roadside diner, Yunho had very gentlemanly draped his jacket over Jaejun's shoulders who was freezing from the cold outside. Jaejun had accepted the jacket gratefully, wrapping it around her tightly, breathing in the scent that was truly Yunho.

“So...” Yunho started the conversation, “...are you seeing anyone at the moment?” He said, all the while knowing that Jaejun was indeed single. Afterall, the the headlines of her breaking up with her long-time boyfriend had been splashed across several magazines and newspapers. Yunho presumed that it would be the perfect time to ask his favourite actress out, after all, a grieving heart did seek out love more than ever.

Jaejun smiled shyly, shaking her head almost as if she was indicating 'no'. “Yes, I'm seeing someone at the moment,” She confirmed unknowingly breaking Yunho's heart.

Yunho swore he felt his heart crack piece by piece. A twinge of pain shot up his chest. He felt completely gutted.

“Oh...” He heaved out, “I thought...I thought, you broke up with your boyfriend recently,”

“Well, yes, Dongwook and I had broken up a few months ago but we are together again,” She beamed, truly happy yet not hearing the sound of Yunho's heart shattering.

“...Oh, I'm...I'm so happy for the two of you. Both of you deserve happiness,” Yunho lied through his teeth. This was when his acting skills came handy as he slapped on a fake grin for Jaejun's sake.

“Come on now, its freezing out here, let's get you warmed up!” Yunho changed the topic as he opened the passenger door open for Jaejun as he turned up the car's heating to full blast.

As the car coursed down the highway connecting countryside to the city, Yunho lamented upon his broken heart that was shattered in front of the little diner at the corner of the road.
