Sorry about the seemingly abusive people on my Facebook page. They're from my gym forums and they read my blog; most of the time, if not all the time, they're quite civil and don't lash out at people. I'm sure they just took your - quite apt- point that they shouldn't just be digitally whinging the wrong way.
Jane has since apologised and we're talking it out.

He actually calls his Mum a lot and gives her hugs and buys her small things when she's around. You'd be surprised. They shared quite a bit of time when she was down, we all went to dinner and stuff. Apparently they had some heart-to-hearts on the train (as grown boys are wont to do with their mothers...?) so there was a lot you didn't see :)

Comments like that deserved some strong opposition. I'm just sorry it had to happen on your profile. If I could duke it out somewhere else, I would be all over him. XD
Even the worst people have their good side (many famous serial killers were good to their mum :P ), and I'm not saying he's a bad person. But on this issue he maintains a destructive stance, and I would certainly fight to at least keep him from undermining other people's hard work.
