We were supposed to wear sneakers or hiking boots or whatever, anywhere except the waterfront at my camp. Nobody listened, not even after one of the counselors broke her foot. Flip flops for everyone! I still got flip-flop tans on my feet, though. Every other week or so they'd remind the counselors to wear sneakers, but almost no one ever did. I tried to make my kids wear their sneakers, at least. (haha, I'm a hypocrite!)

Our camp was all rocks and gravel so they were pretty strict about the whole thing. Now, I get flip-flop tans and I am so excited after years of sock tans, ha! I was pretty strict with my kids, too, but they loved me anyway. Kids are funny like that.

Did you want me to give you interests to expound upon? ;)

Nah, I never post to eljay.

Our camp was all rocks and gravel, too. Except for a few places where they made us wood chip it during staff week. We were just bad counselors. I was good when I had to go to the rock climbing course or on a hike, though.

I walked around barefoot a lot at camp, even on the rockier grounds. Most of the lifeguards did.

Team Pasty Feet for life! It took me a while to remember, but I was Captain Obvious. Remember? "Well, the pool is wet..."

And I definitely took your lanyarding spirit to my other camp. I was the only one who knew how to do/start any of them. And I have so many unfinished lanyards in my bedside table at home.

Go ahead, pick some of my interests, you know you want to.

Sorry this took forever!! BUT yes Captain Obvious! I remember the pool being wet! HA! I totally need to type up the second quote list. I am a horrible unit leader.

Yay lanyarding! It rocks and you know it! I have some crammed in random corners of my life, too, and they just appear and I'm like huh, camp!
