Chapter 3
“Excuse me? What’re you doing?” asked Hyukjae when he approached Donghae.
He was standing in front of Donghae, who seemed out of his mind. Hyukjae raised his eyebrows as he saw the nervousness in Donghae’s face. He could see the latter was shivering on his spot, didn’t move even a bit. Donghae bite his lower lip, which looked cute in Hyukjae’s eyes.
‘What am I thinking?’ Hyukjae thought as he shook his head. He tapped Donghae’s shoulder, trying to get the latter back to his reality world. “Hey, what’s wrong?” he asked.
‘Oh my God! Hyukjae was tapping my shoulder! What should I do? What should I do? I think I’m going to faint soon!’ screamed Donghae hysterically in his mind. His body was tensed and his heart kept beating furiously. He kept staring on the floor since his eyes couldn’t see Hyukjae. He’s afraid that he might jump to the other if he looked at him.
“Uhm... Are you ok, Donghae-shi?”
Donghae was shocked and he immediately looked at his crush. ‘H-he knows my name?’ He never expected that Hyukjae ever knew his name.
“Are you... ok? Your face look red” commented Hyukjae as he touched Donghae’s red cheek.
Donghae’s face turned reddened. He could feel butterflies all over his stomach. His face was hot. He was so sure that his heart was going to come out from his body anytime soon. He was shaking because of excitement. He felt really happy because Hyukjae knew his name and for the God’s sake, Hyukjae was touching his cheek!
“Waa!! Donghae-shi!” that was the last words Donghae heard as he black out.
Hyukjae was panicked. He sat down beside Donghae and putted Donghae’s head on his lap. He tried to call Donghae but there was no answered. ‘Think Hyukjae! Think! What should I do!?’ Hyukjae panicked. He didn’t know how to handle the faint boy. ‘Should I kiss him like what a prince did to wake up his Snow White? But, he’s not Snow White and I’m not his prince! I should bring him to treatment room‘
Hyukjae carefully carried Donghae, bridal style, to treatment room. ‘I hope my brother is still there. This boy is kinda heavy’ complained Hyukjae as he looked at the faint boy on his arms.
Once he reached the treatment room, he quickly searched for his brother, Leeteuk, who happened to be the school doctor. “Teukie hyung, are you there?”
“Oh Hyukkie, what’s wrong? Omo! What happen to this boy?” he asked and quickly went to the bed side before signalling Hyukjae to lie Donghae on the bed.
“I don’t know. I was talking to him and then he faint” replied Hyukjae.
Leeteuk checked Donghae’s condition and he sighed in relief.
“What’s happen, hyung?” asked Hyukjae worriedly.
“Nothing’s wrong with him. Maybe he’s just tired” assured Leeteuk. “Is he your friend?”
“He’s my classmate and I only talking to him today”
“New student?”
“No”
“Then how come you only talk to him today?”
“He’s super shy and quite! I rarely see him talking to anyone. No, no. I never see him talking to anyone” shouted Hyukjae.
Leeteuk bashed his dongsaeng head, not to hard but it’s enough to make Hyukjae groaned in pain. “You don’t have to shout. I’m not a deaf and besides, he’s still resting” Leeteuk said as he pointed to the sleeping Donghae.
Hyukjae pouted as he rubbed his head. “Sorry”
“By the way, do you’ve his house phone number?”
Hyukjae just shook his head.
“Do you know where he lives?”
He shook his head again. Both of them sighed. It’s really useless because they couldn’t do anything until Donghae wake up.
“I’ve a date” mumbled Leeteuk.
“With Kangin hyung?”
“Who else? Do you think I would cheat on Kangin!?” Leeteuk asked, half shouting.
“Shhh... He’s resting” Hyukjae said and this time he was the one that pointed to Donghae.
“Sorry” Leeteuk sighed.
“Hyung, you can leave us. I’ll wait until he wakes up” said Hyukjae. He knew that his brother rarely spending time with his lover.
“Really?” Leeteuk smiled widely. “Ok, I’ll leave you guys. Here the key and don’t forget to lock the room before you guys leave” reminded Leeteuk as he passed the key to his dongsaeng.
Leeteuk gathered all his belongings before happily bid a goodbye to his dongsaeng. “I’ll see you at house. Bye”
Hyukjae sighed as he saw his hyung disappeared from his view. He turned his attention to the sleeping boy on the bed. He kept wondering why Donghae faint and what was he doing on the dance room.
“I really want to hear you talking” Hyukjae said as he removed the bang that covered Donghae’s forehead. ‘I wonder how cute your voice could be’ thought Hyukjae.
He caressed Donghae’s cheeks with his cold fingers, made Donghae flinched a bit at the touch. ‘He’s really cute’. Hyukjae traced his fingers to Donghae’s plump lip. He stared at Donghae’s lip and suddenly he has an urged to kiss that lip. He leaned forward and gulped his saliva. He didn’t know what he was thinking. He didn’t know why he wanted to kiss Donghae. He’s not a gay and he never like a guy.
‘It’s just... His lip look delicious’ commented Hyukjae as he leaned closer.
Their faces were just a few inches apart. Hyukjae could feel Donghae’s hard breathing on his skin. His lip was about to touch Donghae’s lip when the sleeping boy abruptly woke up. Donghae’s eyes widened since he was too shocked of Hyukjae’s face which was so close to him.
“S-sorry” Hyukjae said as he sat back on the chair beside the bed. He tried to avoid made an eye contact with Donghae.. ‘What am I trying to do?’ he mentally slapped his mind. “I was just trying to check your condition” he lied.
Donghae clutched the blanket that covered his legs. ‘What happened to me and why is he here?’ he tried to think why and what was the reason he brought here.
“Are you ok now? You faint and I carried you here” said Hyukjae, seemed like he knew what Donghae was thinking.
‘I faint? Oh my God! That was too embarrassing! I let my crush carried me! Wait! He carried me here? OMO!! That’s mean... HE HUGGED ME!’ Donghae wanted to jump in happiness but he controlled himself. He didn’t want Hyukjae to think that he’s weird or a freak.
“T-thanks” Donghae muttered, slow but it’s enough for Hyukjae’s to hear it.
“So, you can talk” Hyukjae chuckled.
Donghae raised his head and looked at Hyukjae. ‘Of course I can talk. I just don’t know how to talk and I’m really shy’. Well, he just said those words on his mind.
“Erm... Are you ok now?” asked Hyukjae as he glanced to the clock on the wall. It’s already 7.30 pm and almost dark outside.
Donghae shyly nodded his head. Actually, he didn’t feel sick at all. He just shocked because Hyukjae touched him earlier.
“Should we go home? It’s already late”
Donghae glanced to the clock and he’s panicked. His brother must be really worried about him since he never went home passed 7 pm. Hyukjae who was seeing Donghae’s panicked condition tried to calm him down.
“Hey, what’s wrong?”
“Uhm... M-my hyung must b-be really worried about me” he replied as he lowered down his head and played with his own fingers.
“Then, we should go home now. Come on, let me send you home” offered Hyukjae as he grabbed Donghae’s wrist.
Donghae was startled at first but he just let Hyukjae dragged him out of the treatment room.
“Is it... ok?” Donghae asked.
“Hmm?”
“I c-can go home by myself”
“It’s ok. I’ll send you home” assured Hyukjae as he smiled to Donghae.
Donghae quickly looked to the ground. He wanted to hide his blushing face. He secretly smiled. After a few years he stalked Hyukjae, only now he had a chance to be this close to his only crush. He felt so happy because at least he knew that Hyukjae noticed his existence.
“B-but your house... It’s on the opposite direction of my house” said Donghae.
“It’s ok. I don’t... Eh?” Hyukjae paused and turned to look at Donghae.
Donghae’s face immediately turned to red. He tried to avoid Hyukjae’s gazed. ‘What’s wrong with him? Why did he look at me like that?’
“Do you know my house?”
He was busted. ‘Shit! Since when I’ve a loose lip like Heechul hyung’ he cursed himself. “I... I j-ust guessing”
“Really?” teased Hyukjae. He found out that it’s fun to tease the shy boy.
Donghae’s face reddened than before. He’s quite nervous when Hyukjae looked at him like that and he’s afraid if he faint again.
Hyukjae laughed when he saw Donghae’s nervous face and he couldn’t help but to pinch his red cheeks. “You’re so cute!” exclaimed Hyukjae.
Donghae has to control himself from fainting again. He was so sure he was going to faint once again.
“Come on. Let’s go home and show me your house direction” Hyukjae said happily and walked forward. Donghae heaved a sigh as he silently followed Hyukjae from behind.
They walked silently along the way to Donghae’s house. Nobody talked since they didn’t know what to talk about. After 20 minutes of walking, they arrived in front of Donghae’s house.
“D-do you want to come inside first?” invited Donghae.
Hyukjae smiled. “No maybe next time. I’ve to go home now”
“Ok. Uhmm... Thanks”
“Welcome. I’ll go now. See you at school tomorrow” Hyukjae bid his goodbye and walked away. He just walked a few step when he stopped and turned to look at Donghae. “You know what. You’ve such a beautiful voice. You should speak more often” he smiled and waved his hand to Donghae.
Donghae clutched his t-shirt. His heart was beating really fast. ‘Do you know that you’ve make me fall in love with you more and more? I’ve fall really deep until I think... I can’t turning back’
