That other recipe looks good too. I've been using some ground turkey, and you're right that sausage is a problem, but not because of cheese. It actually almost always has corn or corn syrup in it. So suck. But pure turkey is usually ok.

That's a good idea about indian food. I've done some looking at things like that, and maybe I can make some simple substitutions. I don't often know what's in the various things in indian food so I've been a little hesitant in case of soy or wheat hiding in processed suggestions.
And I have been eating TONS of hummus and rice crackers :)
I guess the real struggle is being able to make this stuff up a little ahead of time so I can grab it for lunch throughout the week. That's the tough meal at this point.
Mostly, I think I just miss certain things like sugar and cheese, and there really aren't good substitutes. I'm not big on baking, but I might make some fruit breads with like brown rice flour or something just to have something sweet to nosh on.
If I have food allergies, I'm coming to live with you and forcing you to cook for me.
