Awesome, the 1 thing that keeps me from going vegan is cheese and a couple of eggs every 2 months or so. Other than that, I'm fully vegetarian and that's been for almost 2 years now. I feel better than ever before and I rarely get sick. Soy is the world's miracle food and if you can find a Taiwanese vegan restaurant around your area, then you'll truly be won over by their creative recipes using soy.
i have been a vegetarian off and on since iwas about 7. i've been straight vegetarian for about a little over a year now - i went vegan for about 4 months, and was strong, but i relapsed... couldn't get back into the groove...
i had the tacobell diet going... just no meat.. and oh my god... ick. just the other night, for some reason, everything tasted wrong... i won't be going back.
and yes, i've never felt healthier as i do being vegetarian. i actually feel better with the intent of being VEGAN.
Taco bell..*shudders* when I was on tour last summer with my band, that's all they wanted to eat. You see, Quebec is the only province in Canada that doesn't allow Taco Bell because its meat standards are too low to be accepted by our provincial health board, so when we're travelling across the country, it's exciting cause it's new. I lived out west for 5 years though so I know better. Montreal is amazing for its variety in vegan and vegetarian restaurants though. I live right in the neighbourhood where it's very trendy to be a vegan art student so I take advantage of the restaurants. The trend I can do without, the excellent food...I need.
Glad to see you too Amanda, I pretty much took a break from the boards and journal thing for a couple of years, but after a few rainy weekends, they tend to suck you back in ;)
Man, that septum smell can be crazy sometimes. I remember when I got my septum pierced when I was 18... It's kinda like the corn-chip smell of feet - you either like it, or you don't.
Anyways, it also happens even worse when you're stretching - I remember when I went from a 12g to a 10g to an 8g in just under two months; I got the constant stench...
